John Lewis Shine 3 Arm Towel Stand
Shame about the rust
Bought this towel rail for our ensuite 9 months ago. No problems initially, but now there is rust over the base, especially where the uprights are inserted. I don't think our bathroom is particularly damp as we use an extractor fan and open the window every day. Very disappointed, as the towel rail itself was just what we wanted.

Handy towel holder, light weight, easily put together, quite good value for money. Does the job and does not take up a lot of space.

Again didn't want to drill into tiles so this was ideal.

I bought this instore. Didn't expect it to be flatpack. Very fiddly to put together on my own (it took 15 mins which is ridiculous for something that only needs 8 screws tightening.) Poorly drilled holes meant that one screw couldn't be fitted at all which affects overall stability. Wouldn't recommend.

Smart and Functional
This looks the part and is a great alternative to drilling holes in my tiled walls! It's a perfect size. My only criticism is that I'd have preferred a heavy solid metal base but to be honest I didn't expect that at this price point. The stand is balanced by a plastic coated weight - like fitness weights - concealed in the base under a chrome cover, but it can still move when adding/removing towels.
The screw issue that some other customers have reported is fixed. John Lewis supply new screws and a note in the box.

We instantly liked the style of this towel rail and bought it on spur of the moment, The first one we bought, the base was badly scratched so returned it for exchange with no problem. The second on we assembled without
problem but after a few days, the arms were loose and had to be tightened regularly . My husband has now fitted longer screws which go straight through the arms and into the stand, problem fixed! May be your manufacturers should look into replacing the screws for longer ones as this seems like a design fault!

The first 3 Arm Towel Stand I bought was of no use as two of the 3 arms would not tighten and just hung loose. John Lewis were prompt in replacing the item but within a few days of putting ithe secind one together, one of the arms is now loose and just won't tighten. This is so disappointing as I had carefully checked out lots of similiar items and this was by far the sturdiest Towel Stand I could find and also the reviews for it were very good. We are now looking for replacement screws, slightly longer in length. I like the size and style of this
Towel Stand but it must be suitable for purpose so perhaps the problem with the screws can be rectified by John Lewis?
