John Lewis Siesta Small Sofa Bed
Not a sofa bed for an adult
This sofa looks really nice and I have it in a study so the size is great for its use. However, I'm about 5'5 and my legs hang over the end unto the middle of my calf so I assume it was either designed for a child or a hobbit to sleep on and yes its very uncomfortable to sleep on you need something between you and the base. so as a small sofa its a good looking small firm sofa as a sofa bed its shocking and therefore expensive for what you get.

We wanted a sofa bed that wouldn't overpower our small study/spare bedroom and this was perfect , looked everywhere for something sturdy and contemporary and took a chance buying it on line without seeing it . It fits the room to perfection and looks great although has not been slept on yet .

Modern looking but not comfortable
Nice enough modern looking setee but very uncomfortable to sit on and use as a bed. Seats are very firm with no bounce and the bed is quite hard. Had to return as was not satisfied with the comfort. Pick up service was terrible. Was meant to pick up on the Friday but never came or even rang to explain. After numerous calls was advised it would be Monday. They forgot to mention this was a week later! Overall not happy - disappointing John Lewis.

Broke on first use
Unfortunately during it's first use as a bed the mechanism failed, the runner carrying the bed parted from it's fixtures. In my opinion the fixtures are poorly designed to take the rigours of the folding mechanism.
I opted to replace with a different design, which they have yet to deliver, original order was at the beginning of May and here we are in 5 months later still without a functioning sofa bed!

Excellent small sofabed
We bought this sofabed to fit a small space in the living room, and be an occasional guest bed.
It's a firm and comfortable compact sofa, and a comfortable bed - I have spent a couple of nights sleeping on it, and it's been great.
It's very easy to fold in and out, and the storage space is very helpful for keeping bedding in the right place.
It was delivered and assembled by some very helpful chaps, who also fitted the under-leg felt pads.

Excellent to sit on by day and to sleep on by night
Bought this in Duck egg (only colour available then) for teenager's bedroom. It is comfy and gives good lower back support for during the day and he (whilst waiting for new bed to arrive) slept on it without complaint for 2 months. Most sofabeds wouldn't get such a run in.
Very easy to get out and put back - no brute force required. Seems well made.
Compact as a sofa as well.

Small & stylish
Went to see this sofa bed at the Oxford street branch, after seeing a similar product Maisie on line the other day. I requested a fabric sample for colour and fabric content. i liked the look of the Maisie sofa bed, but preferred the siesta as a product. The sofa bed looked compact and was comfortable to sit on, liked the drawer to store bed linen, also wide variety of *colour ways. The Siesta is more expensive.
*Looked at the colour ways and discovered that they come in different fabrics, i preferred the mix of polyester/acrylic. I will go back to have another look shortly.
