John Lewis St Ives Linen Bin, White
Reviews were helpful
My husband was able to put this together quite quickly, because (a) he is a competent DIYer and (b) previous reviews warned us that the instructions were likely to be inaccurate - and they were. Now that it has been constructed it is a neat and serviceable piece of furniture for the bedroom.

The perfect laundry bin
This bin is exactly the right size for storing laundry. It is not too bulky yet holds lots of laundry. The size is perfect and it looks quite elegant in the bathroomn. It is so sturdy it can double up as a bathroom stool.

One very pleased customer!
I now have three of these!! I'm using them as bedside tables because they are great for storeage which I am lacking and they are the same design as my doors! Excellent quality! I found the assembly instructions very easy to follow and the screws fit into the holes perfectly.

Initially thought hmm 15 mins tops to assemble..... Almost an hour later job done.
Enclosed instructions useless - had to dismantle twice to get it right, hinge assembly/mounting totally unclear.
Just an observation - due to its height very tempting and easy for a toddler to open and when lid closes can easily trap little fingers between lid and sides especially towards the back, could do with a safety device to stop the lid completely closing without a deliberate action first to allow same.

Simple, sturdy and stylish
This product fits perfectly in our country cottage bathroom - it looks the part and blends with our painted wooden decor. Easy to put together and good opening space to sort through the washing.
Perfect - thank you:)

We bought this bin to avoid having a huge pile of dirty laudry in our open plan kitchen / living room. This bin does the trick. It looks great, the lid does not bang on your fingers. The only thing which should be improved is to add 2 removable bags to take the laundry in and out. I was advised wenko bags would fit neatly in the bin, but given the price, I think such bags should be part of the package.

Worth the money?
I have just purchased this bin and am relatively happy with it. It was very easy to assemble and does not require 2 people, as it states in the instructions. The hinge, however, is not straight forward to fix as my first attempt (according to the instructions) prevented the lid from closing properly! Also, one of the panels (unfortunately the front facing one) had paint cracks along the seam, which was more annoying than warranted its return. I would say that the bin is too expensive for what it is, but happened to be what we were looking for after days of trawling the internet for our exact specifications.
