John Lewis Staten Glass Corner Desk
DESIRABLE AND FUNCTIONAL
My glass corner desk makes me very happy. I have it facing out to my conservatory so I can watch the Goldfinches whilst I'm working.
Viewing it from another room it looks like my laptop is suspended in mid air. The desk is stylish and doesn't seem to take up much space, but when I sit at it I can have my laptop in the middle, and books on either side with lots of room. It's a Tardis desk! It polishes up well and doesn't get as smeared as I would have expected.
Very impressed with the delivery men who put it together and took all the packaging away too.
Great price for such an unusual design piece.

A design piece
Great sized desk that blends in easily as its glass and therefore does not dominate the room despite still being a strong feature in a design sense. Very easy to assemble. Only disappointment was the delivery man did not want to take away the packaging.

My desk arrived yesterday and I'm very happy with it.
Really good size (you get a lot of work space for the amount of floor space needed). Looks great. You can adjust the position that you put the supports in so you can control how much desk surface hangs over- good if you have a radiator or awkward corner to contend with.
It looked slightly different from my perception of the photo- bit more depth on the curved angle. The desk is like a square with a corner cut out for you to sit at. If you had a large desk chair the area you sit at might be a bit of a squeeze, but it is exactly what I wanted.
The friendly delivery men kindly took it upstairs (which I would have struggled with the base is heavy) and took away all the packaging.

If like me you need a desk to be a desk but don't wish for the over large obtrusive type then this little number will satisfy. I cannot believe there are so few reviews about it. Whilst it is a desk, it is about as simply elegant and eye catching a piece of furniture you could possibly want in a desk. There is plenty of room to sit and work with your laptop whilst writing documents to your right and with the recess to the corner of the desk there is ample room for books you need to hand. I am studying for the next three years and needed a desk that looked good and one which was comfortable and I enjoyed sitting at and this is it. John Lewis always get it right!

Looks great and is quite spacious even though it takes up very little room. It has scratched a couple of times during normal use which is a little disappointing as would have thought it would be scratch resistant.
