John Lewis Superior Siberian Goose Down Duvet, 13.5 Tog

Product information

Designed by nature to be lightweight, warm and supremely soft for ultimate comfort, this duvet features a 100% Siberian goose down filling encased in a 300 thread count cotton cover with piped edging, down-proofing and jacquard detail.
Made in our Herbert Parkinson factory in Lancashire, the large and super-soft clusters of down come from geese living in the Arctic tundra of Siberia and offer lightweight insulation.
Boasting a luxuriously light and exceptionally soft feel thanks to the almost weightless and lofty down that keeps the geese warm and in flight, this range is ideal if you are looking to create a sleep sanctuary. Promising unrivalled warmth whilst remaining feather-light, it has a fill power of 730.
Naturally breathable for a comfortable night's sleep, it also prevents cold spots.

Please note: This is a natural product, which will therefore always have a slight odour. This can be reduced by airing the product out for at least 48 hours prior to use. New products will have a stronger odour due to it being inside packaging for a period of time, but will gradually decrease over a few days.

This range of naturally filled duvets and pillows is now housed in Nomite marked casing: a first for the UK market. The tight weave of the cover fabric ensures no down or feathers can escape, whilst it provides an effective barrier against dust mites. This means that these ranges are suitable for house-dust-mite-allergy and asthma sufferers. Supported by scientific research, our market leading casing gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the multiple benefits of natural fillings.

Q & As

Rated 5 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good quality works well The John Lewis pledge that its down products are sourced exclusively from suppliers who adhere to the animal welfare standards it has set counts very strongly in my decision to buy this item. 09 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Sooo.. hard to get out of bed, now - utter bliss, what more can I say 05 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Duvet This really is a superb duvet. Very warm, very lightweight. It seems to almost float down onto you and leaves no gaps. No odour whatsoever, no shedding of down at all. I have been buying duck and goose down duvets for 35 years and this one is the best. I have also bought synthetic duvets which are too heavy for me and often end up lumpy after laundering. Buy this and keep it forever. I feel certain that this one will pay its pay, winter after winter. I always buy king size to use on double beds and super king size to use on king size beds. It is quite an outlay initially but you won't want to sleep under anything else. Love it. 02 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Duvet Light, comfortable and very warm. What more could one ask for. 26 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive but well worth it ! This duvet is expensive BUT so worth paying the extra. It is very light weight but still very snug and incredibly warm. I had concerns that such a light weight duvet would feel too much like a summer duvet but I was wrong this has the feel of a wonderful winter duvet. A great purchase would highly recommend. 22 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightweight and cozy This is a super light and cozy duvet. It might seem a little pricey but the quality is really good and compared to others of a similar quality - this is good value. 17 October 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by You get what you pay for I bought a few cheaper duvets and ended up taking them all back. Then I bought this one. Simply perfect. Warm, incredibly fluffy and thick but light at the same time. Certainly worth the extra money. 04 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by So light and soft but so warm This duvet looks and feels like a summer weight duvet but is incredibly soft and warm even when frosty outside. Not cheap but well worth the money. 05 February 2015
