John Lewis Tap, Curve, Chrome
Good, but what about the cartridge details and 3/5 yr guarantee?
Good general quality as you'd expect from JLP. Long levers give easier volume control than short levers. Aerator causes slightly less flow than previous non-aerator tap (also a good thing) and splashing eliminated. Two niggles:
1) Website states 5 yr guarantee, but all paperwork with tap says 3 years only. Not clear whether leaking ceramic disk seals would be covered by guarantee.
2) No details of the ceramic disk cartridge specification is included with the tap. So, if leak occurs, it requires 2 visits by plumber: first to dismantle and identify disk spec. and then second to fit repalcement disks after he has obtained them.
It would be consistent with JLP thoughtfulness to include such detail with every cartridge tap they sell.
Finally, Online order for collection from our local Waitrose worked very smoothly and saved a special 40 mile round trip to a JL store.

Love these taps!
These taps are so easy to turn on and off and the height of the spout means I don't have to worry about the bottom of my kettle getting wet if there's water in the sink when I fill it. All in all an excellent kitchen tap - well priced and extremely easy to use. We love it!

Looks great. Easy to use and doesn't, splash. Sale's person was very informative enabling us to choose the correct tap for our needs (suitable with low water pressure).

We are very pleased with the quality and look of this tap.
Things you might want to consider
- the curve of the tap means that when it is turned to be above our 1/2 sink, the water flow is at the edge of this smaller sink. Not a big deal.
- the aerator is great as it minimises splash. However, when filling water bottles, cups etc, the bubbles result in it not actually being filled up.

A relative actually introduced me to the tap showing how ideal the height of it is that I can easily fill my jug kettle compared to my old tap which was so low that the bottom of the kettle could touch any water sitting in the sink bowl. Good quality tap, transit packaging very good and delivery very prompt.

Functional and easy to control
I am very happy with the John Lewis Curve Chrome tap.
The sliding tap bars are very smooth and precise and I like the way that the water never splashes even when the taps are fully on.
Easy to clean and very functional, I would recommend this product.

John Lewis Chrome Curve Tap
This is a solid and very attractive tap with a well designed high arc that positions the spout perfectly over the sink. The ring at the bottom sets it apart from many other makes and gives it a particularly striking and sturdy look. While we hesitated about a shiny chrome tap, our previous brushed Franke set deteriorated quickly, and we have been delighted with our choice. Just a wipe with a cloth restores the beautiful sparkle.
Operationally, the tap works better than we had expected. The on off levers are nicely balanced being neither too loose or too tight and it is easy to get the water to exactly the temperature that you need. A bonus is the aerator on the end of the spout which means you avoid any splashing.
I do not know who makes this for JL, but I would recommend anyone looking for a new mixer tap to consider this against many more expensive makes.
