John Lewis "The Pan" Egg Poacher, 4 Hole
A Quality Egg Poacher
A really good egg poacher, worth paying extra for compared with cheaper models.

The egg trays are plastic and as a result don't conduct heat very well. We ended up with 4 eggs where the yolk was hard on the top and the white was still runny. Metal egg trays would have solved this. The inner tray also discoloured after one use. Will be returning for a refund.

Well made product
I Bought this for an Auntie, in a bid to cut down on her reliance on the frying pan! Good product well made but light weight.

This pan makes poached egg preparation extremely easy, also provides many ways to prepare a poached egg mixed with other ingredients that in a normal way of preparing would be impossible, great invention!

Need some advice!
I received this as a Christmas present and have been struggling with it so would appreciate any advice from JL or more successful users. There were no instructions so it was by trial and error that I found out you have to grease the moulds. Even then, the eggs sometimes stick. Results are still variable - I'm not sure how much water to put in the pan as sometimes the eggs become watery. Although it is not used that much, the pan is already becoming stained. Disappointing for the price, and not up to usual JL quality.

An excellent product
Have just bought today and used immediately. It just needs a tiny knob of butter in the base of the cups and it poaches eggs perfectly. A great buy and a great price.
