Made some floor length curtains with this and they really look stunning and stylish. So pleased with the result. Used JL curtain lining as well, which also is excellent.

Beware shrinkage on this fabric!
I had made to measure curtains in this fabric made by JL in 2012. Never fitted right but store claimed problem was due to shrinkage caused by 'atmospheric conditions'!
Just had them dry cleaned and they suffered huge shrinkage, approx 4 inch. Despite having dry clean label on, staff in Sheffield store told me I should never have had them dry cleaned. Interesting to read another reviewer washed the fabric prior to use. Have had to pay John Lewis to add a matching panel to make the curtains usable again.
Expected better from John Lewis

Have curtains, blinds and cushions in this... Just perfect for plain, heavy, simplistic soft furnishings.
Planning on buying the duck egg for another room.
Please JL...produce this in a grey, preferably a charcoal and a silver-mid grey...
Did have a few snags in roll but had 21metres so worked around it.

Through John Lewis, I had my 1970s sofa bed re-covered with this fabric , and then a Victorian button back chair. It's lovely material for soft furnishings & I'm really pleased with the result. When the swatch arrived, I didn't have to ponder on it - it was exactly what I was looking for.

I used this fabric to make some loose covers. It was a bit of an experiment as I had never done it before. Delighted with the results and the heavy grain of the fabric gives the squashy casual effect I was looking for. Prior to sewing I pre-washed the fabric to shrink it. It survived 30 degrees in the washing machine although there was quite a bit of shrinkage. The loose weave means the fabric frays a bit. However if you finish the seams well it's absolutely fine. This is a good value and good quality product for general home furnishings.
