Valencia Table Lamp
This is an elegant and effective lamp, good value for money. Easy to assemble as long as you are careful to tighten the screw fitting that holds the shade in place; be careful to do that properly. Looks great, works well, ideal for reading in bed.

A Welcome Birthday Present
My daughter, who love art deco wanted a lamp to go with an original art deco lamp inherited from her grandmother. This fitted the bill perfectly and was well received. Having the bulb type required printed on the outside of the box meant we were able to buy this for her as well which meant she could use it immediately

Very pleased with these lamps. They look really good with the Aspen bedside tables also from John Lewis.

Lovely well made lamp
I almost did not purchase this lamp after reading a review about it being poorly made but I am glad I did as it’s a lovely lamp of a high quality and well made.
The wing nuts on the base and at the top of the shade allow you to adjust the angle of the arm and the shade itself so you can alter where the light shines (perhaps the other customer did not tighten these). I am using it as a bedside table lamp where it creates a soft light and does not take up too much space. The shade does still have a very slight wobble when fixed in place but as its porcelain this means it is less likely to get broken when it gets knocked.
Finding a bulb was not so easy in local stores but I found a 25 W “sign bulb” which fits the bill, albeit not an energy saving one.

Disappointing in use
We bought two of these as bedside lamps. They are lovely to look at and from that point of view I have no complaints.
However, they are not very well made. The adjustment at the base is poorly made so that they don't hold their position when you angle them and end up leaning against the wall. The porcelain shades don't screw tightly into the metal holders so they are loose and don't hold their position either.
Really, when we got them home I should have packed them up and brought them back but I was so pleased with the way they looked I thought I could live with it. Overall a disappointing purchase, which is a great shame.

Gorgeous not too fussy bedside light
I bought two of these lights for our main bedroom and then succumbed and bought another one for the guest room. Had been looking for ages for lights that fitted well into a retroish style bedroom ( metal beds , old patchwork quilts and battered bedside tables). These lights are great as they are not too girly and glitzy - but just look simply pretty. The china shades mean that they do not give off a lot of light - just enough to read by . Great height for bedside table - would def recommend them. Well made and good value for money .
