John Lewis The Basics Pocket Mattress, Single 4.6 5 22 22
Excellent - second one I have bought! I don't normally write reviews (being the mother of 3 young children, it isn't a priority!# although I felt the need to write one for this item. I bought a mattress for my eldest from a certain expensive children's catalogue starting with 'A' and ending in 'Space'....what a load of rubbish it was, you could feel the springs through it. Went back to good old John Lewis #what I should have done in the first place# and ordered this, a bit sceptical as it was the value range. Brilliant...thrilled to bits. So much so I've now ordered a second for no. 3 child. Don't be put off that it is the value range, its fantastic. 21 July 2014
Great as a spare bed Great quality and comfortable. Would recommend as excellent value. 08 July 2014
Perfect mattress The 'Basics' pocket mattress, is far from basic! It's wonderfully comfortable & supports the back brilliantly. The fabric covering is classically tasteful, as I would expect from John Lewis. Thank you, 14 May 2014
The Basics Range are good value Firm but comfortable bed, would have preferred a damask fabric finish but understand woven mattress cover is breathable. 16 April 2014
comfortable mattress Very comfortable mattress, looks good .certainly worth the money. . It was purchased for a guest room, delivered very quickly, with no fuss, very pleased with it. 20 March 2014
Very comfy We bought this along with a bedframe over a year ago, for my teenage son. The mattress has been great. 09 November 2013
Comfortable, Supportive, Softer Side I have finally found a mattress that I like and I've spent about £6,000 trying to find one over the last 7 years. It's hard to find a supportive mattress that's on the softer side but at 5'7" and 130 I prefer a softer mattress to avoid back pain. It DOES have to be turned regularly - every two to three weeks it seems - but I look forward to going to bed finally. 19 March 2013
Comfortable--on soft side We bought this mattress for son's bunk bed. Have only slept on it myself occasionally--and it was comfortable, but a bit on the soft side. Would recommend for children and for adult occasional use. 07 December 2011
