John Lewis X-Wing Airer
Not as good as it should be
I bought this for my mum having bought a similar style of airer from John Lewis a few years ago, but the older version was much sturdier with a better locking mechanism and the x-wings were more adjustable. Any washing with heavy fabric causes the airer to collapse. The locking mechanism is flimsy. I will be returning the product and hope that there will be a return to the older style.

Would not recommend
Bought this a couple of months ago and we are now having to buy another for the following reasons:
It's not sturdy enough to hold a full load of washing
Blows over at the slightest bit of wind/breeze!
The support bars for the fold out sections are not strong enough and keep popping out.
The clip bits which hold the airer in position are not very strong so it folds in on itself all the time.

Lightwieght in every department except the price.
Flimsy, weak, barely able to support itself fully loaded. Only bought this because I simply cannot find a proper metal one anymore. Will be surprised if it lasts longer than a few weeks, before it falls apart.
Thoroughly undeserving of the John Lewis brand.

Not as good as my last one
Fairly easy to set up even though it is fiddly. Once in place it cant be moved without falling apart. Wouldn't buy this again.

Does what it's meant to
Overall pleased with the product. Not quite as good as my previous Minky product. Slightly more flimsy & the arms that fix to the horizontal drying area to hold that area up are a bit awkward. Also rungs nearest the floor are too near the floor so can't really use for anything much bigger than very wee socks!

This is a great product. folds away very easily and quickly and you can hang masses of clothes off it which dry very fast!! would recommend
