Rated 1 out of 5 by TR77 great desk if you never have to disassemble.
Firstly i would like to point out that this is a nice desk, pretty easy to set up and looks stylish.
Great unless you have the need to disassemble.
Unfortunately due to its design the bolts secure directly into the metal frame. In my unsuccessful attempts I managed to shear 2 of the main allen key bolts rendering disassembly impossible.
I have just moved home and ended up having to leave behind a perfectly good desk that I have carefully looked after which is hugely disappointing and now means I need to spend additional money on a new desk.

Came in 2 flat packs both very heavy - delivery people carried them upstairs which was excellent service from them. Easy to put together with very clear instructions, but because of the weight, 2 people may be better than 1. Very solid, excellent construction, modern and smart.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DIYNovice001 Poor Quality and Not for the DIY Faint-Hearted
The instructions say assemly of this desk will take a minimum of 30 minutes for 2 people, but anyone who can achieve that is a DIY superstar! It is incredibly time-consuming and fiddly and took us more than five hours to complete.
However, even worse - the instructions are some of the worst I have ever seen. The visuals are confusing, the wording not proper English - and the quality of the screws and bolts is extremely poor.
Altogether very disappointing and not up to the usual John Lewis standard.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Solus Nice desk! However!!!
Really nice desk, easy to install and sturdy. However, the glass top does not allow the use of a laser mouse such as the Apple magig mouse without a mouse. It would have been helpful if this was noted on the sales info. If I was aware of this I probably would not have purchased

Looks stylish and space saving in a small study. We were told that the drawers would come as a fixed unit but we had to assemble them ourselves.

Bought this as I needed a larger desk and as new desk was going in my bedroom I needed something stylish and unobtrusive - the design and style of this desk fits perfectly - gives me plenty of space for paperwork and laptop!!
Contrary to the negative reviews on assembly - it took my boyfriend approx. 3-4hrs to assemble and he was very impressed with the bag of spares.
I am extremely happy with my purchase and also the speedy delivery.

Superb when finished. It took 5hrs for me to build without assistance. Construction is not for beginners it is not an easy build. A suggestion re fitting the very heavy glass top. Place the glass on the floor flat, then with the desk upside down offer it up to the top. The top can then be screwed in place easily.

After reading other reviews talking about the build time I was kind of looking forward to the challenge of seeing how quickly I could assemble this desk ;)
Working by myself, it took me an hour and a half to assemble the drawer unit and drawers, another half an hour to assemble the desk itself, and near another half an hour to attach the runners to the drawers and get them into place. So, counting the time to unpack everything it took me the best part of three hours. Which is OK as long as you are not expecting it to only take half an hour.
Lifting the glass top into place is the only thing that you might prefer to get help with. As soon as I picked it up I immediately regretted doing to by myself - but I got away with it.
Another reviewer talked about the need to countersink the holes for attaching the drawer backs. This was already done on mine.
I had some trouble lining up the drawer unit sides and had to sit on it to bang the pieces together. I think the issue was the angle of the pegs I'd screwed in, so try to make sure these go in straight. The supplied screwdriver can be used like a bradawl to clear the paint out of the holes - which helps make sure the pegs go in straight.
The plastic film covering the drawer unit pieces and drawer fronts is so tightly on there I never would have realised I needed to peel that off if I hadn't read about it here.
The biggest problem I had is that when I slotted the first drawer into place a bunch of the ball bearings popped out of the runners and can't be put back in place. But there are enough left that it still works - so I'm not sure if can be bothered asking for replacement runners.
