I am sorry to say that I would not recommend this product. Despite being everything on paper that i wanted the practicalities have not lived up to my expectation. The tray is positioned very high and even at 9 months, my little boy can barely see over the top. Despite me religiously cleaning after every meal, the plastic has become discoloured and smelly and the straps are a real pain to clean - I put a bib over them but my little boy flings food all over the place so this doesn't protect them. Despite folding up it is still very bulky and cumbersome to move around and put up and take down three or more times a day...a real shame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AddyG Loved the wheels!
We have a small kitchen which would require a chair we could easily fold up. I also have a bad back and wanted to be able to move her around the kitchen as I was doing things, for her to be able to see, and the wheels made it less awkward (safely moving her small distances). I noticed another review that mentioned their child moved around making it difficult to put them in, I did not find this a problem. If she was acting up one day, I would position the chair so the legs were against the table as I put her in and easily turned her around - I probably did always have my foot on the front bar as well, but not an issue. The wheels were a big benefit to me.
In terms of the straps, to be honest I never had to remove to clean because I always put a loose bib which had arms over her, after I had strapped her in (when very tiny, I think it was just a long front bib with a pouch which covered all the high chair straps, and had velcro at the back of the neck). The bib was super easy to put on as no way was I going to add extra workload scrubbing straps - I found it hard enough to get regular laundry done!
The fabric does have slight discolouration over time, but for the comfort of the chair it was not a big deal for me. Ability to adjust the height of the tray would be useful, I put a small towel under my little one for a time.
Probably not the best highchair if you are doing baby led weaning and food goes everywhere all the time. Overall the ease of folding up, moving around and comfort worked well for us.

I bought this highchair in October for my 5 month old grand-daughter, mainly because of its padding, adjustable positions and footrest. However, six months on and the chair has become very discoloured and the straps are very difficult to clean. My daughter and I are both very disappointed with its sustainability and would not recommend this product.

The main problem with this high chair is that it easily moves. When trying to put a reluctant child into it it is dangerous. I have had to catch my daughter a few times now. I have to remember to put a foot behind the front bar to stop it from moving when I am fastening my daughter into it. If it was possible to slide her in when the tray was insitu it would be less dangerous, as it is you have to hold onto your child whilst fastening the 5 point harness and use your foot to make sure the chair doesn't move!
I agree with the other comments regarding the cover discolouration too.
Overall disappointed John Lewis are selling this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by nanabonc not as it seems!
I bought this highchair for one of my twin grandsons, the other was a mamas and papas prima papa. We loved the design, the colours and the family dog is called ned!!! unfortunately after under 4 months use the paterned chair cover has faded and turned a yukky pink all over. It has been cleaned using non bleach or harsh chemicals in the same way of the other mamas and papas chair and that is fine. I have emailed customer sevices and await their response. disapointing product to say the least.

Rated 3 out of 5 by she7894 Great chair, padded seat not robust enough
Great padding on the chair, love the designs, great versatility functions such as height of chair, angle and table. it's lightweight enough to be portable around the house easily. My 2 faults with this chair are that the straps are not easy to remove for washing. Each time I have to pry them out with a sharp knife which is not easy either. Additionally I have been using the chair for 8 months and now the padded seat is starting to smell despite a rigorous cleaning regime. Despite using bleach and alllowing to dry thoroughly it is now starting to smell of the milk dripped onto it by my son now he's eating cereal.. it seems to have penetrated the seams ?!

Easy to set up, adjustable (back / forward and up / down) and foldable. Recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Laurz80 Tray too high
This highchair is lovely, sturdy and adjustable with a pretty patterned seat. However, the tray is too high for my baby (she is six months old and just about to start weaning). It is a real shame the tray height isn't adjustable as the is the only negative point, but because of this I felt I had to return it. John Lewis were fantastic regarding the return and arranged for a courier to collect it within two days, free of charge. Excellent service, but unfortunately not the best highchair for my little one.
