Joseph Joseph Scoot Pizza Wheel, Red
Safe, easy cutting wheel
Brilliant little gadget that makes it easy to cut pizza (pastry etc.) and, apart from being a little fiddly to clean, keeps the blade safe away from fingers of all sizes. Much easier than a knife to slice straight and into equal slices, too!

Easy to use
This is easy to use and looks good while taking up less space in the cutlery drawer than the usual pizza cutters. It can be a bit tricky to clean though.

Difficult to wash, but great to use :/
I bought this as a gift for my hubbie, who loves kitchen gadgets.
It does a fantastic job of cutting pizza's and breads etc. BUT......it is a pain to wash. It doesn't appear to come apart, so you have to keep spinning the blade around, and hope you get it clean'ish.

Nice and compact but... but how do you wash it?
I had always thought pizza cutters were a bit unnecessary but I'd admit that using a knife isn't satisfactory. The compact design of this one converted me and I was very pleased with it in use. It's comfortable to hold and its 90mm blade works well.
But it is a nightmare to clean as it doesn't dismantle. The gap between the blade and the clear plastic cover is a little over 3mm on each side so you need something which can reach in 50mm to get at stuck cheese. And if something gets inside the red housing you can't get at it as the clear plastic blade cover is in the way. It does say it is dishwasher safe but I am not going buy a dishwasher just so as to be able to wash this.
If I could wash it easily it would get 5 stars.
I have quite a few Joseph Joseph items and I have been very pleased with them but this pizza wheel hasn't been thought out properly. Perhaps it is significant that it doesn't list on the Joseph Joseph website now so it seems they have withdrawn it.

You normally wouldn't catch me writing a review for a pizza wheel but this one is worthy of more than a little praise. Of note, the plastic cover means it can be safely stowed in drawers. A push of the silver button shown and the blade is revealed. Because it is palm held it slices so effortlessly; something those of you who have wrestled with a conventional pizza wheel will appreciate. Brilliant, easy to clean and I use it for flat bread and pastry too. Worthy buy!!
