Q & As

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pasta attachment - tricky to attach though! This is a great pasta attachment which I use for my sugarpaste products, due to it being motorised. It is a dream whilst in operation and does what it says on the tin, however the difficulty is aligning the pins between the machine and the product, for which Kenwood should have given greater clarity in their instructions, or added a small tool akin to a long nose plier. Only then can you get great alignment and even then it still takes a few adjustments before you are good to go and are properly coupled together! No mention of this in the instructions Kenwood! I can see why some have got frustrated not being able to connect without. 05 May 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by They break too easilly I have just parted company with my third one of these. I have used them for over four years. I make an average of 200g of pasta a week and have been making pasta for over thirty years. I use the 1 egg to 100g of flour in a food processor method. Fine tuning the dough until it just starts to clump so it is a fairly stiff dough which is a little hard to roll with a rolling pin, but it is doable. This is the ideal dryness to get a good al dente pasta. I use the K'wood pasta roller on minimum and roll the dough this before starting. In other words I am gentle. After about a year the thicknessing mechanism breaks down. I stripped the roller it is very robust - thick stainless steel rollers running in very tough nylon bushes. But the thickness adjustment mechanism is flimsy. After thirty years of using Kenwood products this is the first time I have found an attachment to be inadequate. If you buy one make your dough wetter than the recipe I give above. When they work they are simply brilliant. 06 February 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works well An excellent gadget for any Pasta lovers. It was a little awkward to fit initially, hence only 4 stars 20 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top Quality The Kenwood Pasta roller is a solid and well constructed piece of equipment and was well received as a gift. Kenood are always top quality goods and this is no exception. 13 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Roller Easy to use with very good results, but to attach it to the mixer is extremely difficult. I have few other attachments and all are very easy to insert to the food mixer. I have been using Kenwood food mixers since 1962 and never encountered so much problems as with this roller. 07 January 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected. When I got this attachemnt for my Kenwood I was very excited and started making pasta almost immediately. It rolls the pasta perfectly thin and this is great. However, it is extremely complicated to get the attachment connected to the Kenwood as it is difficult to line up and secure. Most of the times I ended up giving up and throwing the mix in the bin. If you want to buy a pasta roller I suggest you buy a stand alone one. 25 February 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Useful I have used manual pasta rollers but this gadget makes rolling pasta so much easier. Would recommend it to anybody who loves pasta 12 December 2012
