Kenwood IM200 Ice Cream Maker, White
It doesn't work
It doesn't get cold enough, even when left for nearly a whole day in the freezer it still doesn't get cold enough to freeze anything. All it does is stir stuff and even then not very well, with a flimsy plastic paddle. I've tried everything I can think of to get this to make ice cream and frankly it is less of a fiddle to just make ice cream manually the old fashioned way. I will be returning it. Avoid.

Easy to use, minimal mess and great results for the price

Used machine once, would appear tp make ice cream OK, however when we tried to remove clear plastic spout from motor body to clean it, although we followed the instructions the plastic started to fracture.
Will be returning this item for a replacement.

Good replacement for previous ice cream maker
I had wanted the attachment that goes with the Kenwood Chef, but this seems to be unavailable. I purchased the stand alone machine as an alternative and it works really well. I have only been using it to make apple sorbet with juice from glut of apples, and it has produced sorbet with a really nice texture, quite quickly.
The only thing I was surprised about was that the freezing container looks quite small, but actually the volume of the finished sorbet is more than I expected so no problems.

Fun to use!
I bought this to use with my daughter and we have made some delicious ice creams with it, including stem ginger, fresh strawberry and lemon meringue. The bowl fits easily in the freezer so we are always ready to go. My only slight quibble is that the leaflet gives very few recipes and not much guidance either for adapting other recipes so it was a bit trial and error with quantities to start with. But otherwise it is a great product and easy to use.
