I've only used this once - briefly. It is rather heavy and to be honest, I didn't rate it for mixing dough and I quickly resorted to my usual, manual, method. It is a good looking mixer but when rewinding the cord, it took several attempts and even then, it didn't sit perfectly on its base as the cord wouldn't all fit in the slot where it's supposed to go. I'm sure I'll use it at some point again but not for mixing my bread or pizza dough!

Think I have found a hard-working reliable hand mixer at last - yes it is heavier than my previous hand mixers but feels comfortable and sturdy - I am looking forward to several years' use from it! It also looks quite classy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MelBK Top quality product.
This is a reliably good quality product as expected from Kenwood. I love that it is relatively quiet and controlled - food seems not to splatter everywhere! I love it and it's handy stand. Negatives would be that it's too easy to turn on so whisks will spin before you are ready and it is also pretty weighty. This lends itself to the quality feel but would not be good for someone with weak wrists.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Graydress Good quality product, brilliant at both slow and fast speeds
This mixer not only looks good on the worktop but also performs well at all speeds. The slow speed is perfect for mixing in dry ingredients without spreading them all over the kitchen while the faster speeds do a great job, too. I have used it for a range of recipes including cookie dough, eggs, cream and cake mixture and it has done a good job every time. It is relatively heavy and the fact that the cord does not completely wrap around the recess in the base is a bit of a shortcoming but generally I would recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jcf50 Very disappointed - Whisk arms sheared
I bought this product for my daughter for Christmas 2014. It is a Which? recommended Best Buy. During the second week of January 2015 whilst mixing a cake mix the whisk arms on both whisks sheared off where they connect half-way down the whisk - 2 arms from one whisk and 1 arm from the other whisk. John Lewis gave me a refund but my daughter did not want the same mixer, so I have replaced with another make. On telling the tale to a friend she said she had experienced exactly the same problem the previous Christmas when her daughter bought her this mixer. She replaced with the same mixer and has had no further problem. This item is also very heavy.

It looks really nice, we got a black one, comes with a practical stand for blades. It is easy to clean and, most importantly, it works really well.
It is a bit heavy so one can also use it for upper arms workout.

I am very pleased with the kenwood hand mixer, it is easy to use ,not to heavy, and very efficient, and having a stand to hold all the mixing utensils together so you don't have the fuss of trying to find them in a draw is very useful .

Rated 4 out of 5 by KeithW Well made product
We have returned this mixer, but only because it weighed a bit more than we expected, and as it would be in use constantly in the kitchen we decided to buy the KitchenAid instead. However it looks and feels so much better in quality than many of the hand mixers on the market, and I'm sure would be an excellent buy. I have no practical experience of it, but I would have been well pleased with the quality if we had not chosen the KitchenAid, which was much lighter but twice the price!
