Kilner 3 Piece Jelly Straining Set
Automatically go to Lakeland for items such as this but reviews were very poor so after reading reviews on JL's website for this jelly straining set I bought one from JL. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong that lead to me having a very different experience of the set. The legs continually splayed outwards which meant the jelly bag was completely collapsing onto the kitchen counter and then into the bottom of the bowl beneath. The only way I could get the legs to stand upright was to jam them between the kitchen wall, the lip of the sink and against a very heavy food mixer.
Once jammed into position the straining set did what it was supposed to do and I now have 6 jams of a very clear and pretty crab apple jelly, but I will be returning today to JL today to hand it back in. There must be something "out there" that works exactly as it should without my having to provide support scaffolding!

It does the job -
But the frame feels flimsy and doesn't inspire confidence. I've used it twice now without problems, however; so it rates a good score so far.

Kilner jelly straining set
Works really well and is easy to store when not in use.

Like their jars this Kilner product is quality
As you might expect this is a high quality product - it comes with 2 bags which are big (by the end of straining took all the contents of my jam pan when making apple jelly), made of high quality material which should last many years and strains fine enough to make lovely clear jelly.
Well worth the money.

Really pleased with this!
Having looked at various reviews for different jelly strainers with not much success we thought we'd check JL and liked the look of the Kilner one. We are delighted with it. Have made plum jelly and bramble jelly so far and this works really well. No so say stainless steel to go rusty etc. Straining bag washes easily. Bit more expensive but to be honest you get what you pay for.
