Q & As

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by not as good as my old one Hard to put together. Thick thin slicer does not work. Not worth the money it costs. Large bowl leaves food under blades not mixed. 09 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by super powerful unit makes dicing and shredding a dream. quick and easy to use and stylish to boot!! 09 February 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by My new kitchenaid I waited a few weeks to review so I could see full range of its uses. It is good looking and solid. Most functions are great. It makes light work of shredding and I have loved making slaws. However note the coarsest setting of the grating blade is still pretty fine. The only disappointment is the dough performance. It can't take much weight , shakes and moves , heats the dough and both its 2 settings seem too fast. If you are a serious bread maker, you might want to give it a swerve . This hasn't made me regret the purchase as I am happy to use a bread maker or hand knead, using this processor for small amounts of wetter dough. I use the processor a few times a week, especially for slicing and chopping. 31 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Efficient product Very sturdy, lots of uses, attractive looking, great attachments 04 August 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very poor, won't run after 1 use, waste of money It seems I have paid for a name but the quality is very poor, machine has stopped running after 1 use! The control buttons at the front are hard to press on (anyone with slightly arthritic hands would struggle) I can't believe I've paid all this money for such a flawed machine! I thought it was a great idea to have all the tools in a box and also the smaller bowl option. Shame it doesn't work - very disappointed and a complete waste of money. 18 May 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by really poor value You imagine when your purchase a high priced product you are buying something superior and of excellent quality. Not the case with this kitchen aid. You cannot fault the design or motor, however there are significant problems with the jug. over time the lid of the jug fails to connect to the safety catch and as a result the motor will not run. I have had my jug replaced 3 times in 2 years and at long last john lewis has agreed to give me a refund. Such a shame as it looks so cool. 27 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A one-stop gadget This food processor does everything well. I love it and I think the cream colour looks sufficiently retro in my kitchen. I am very happy with this purchase. 17 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Recommended Buy Before purchasing I did some research on the Kitchenaid 3.1 and found great reviews. This is my 2nd food processor and my first one did not perform well. After purchasing the Kitchenaid and using at least twice a week I can see why it has great reviews. It is very easy to use and I have not encountered any problems. Although expensive, it's worth just paying the little extra. 28 January 2015
