Editor's Notes

Founded in 1475, La Rochère is the oldest running glass factory in France and one of the oldest in the world. The classic Bee design glasses were inspired by a set of glassware owned by Napoleon during his reign as King of France.

Q & As

La Rochere Bee Stemmed Glass, 0.24L 4.5 5 22 22
Gift for a bee-keeper I bought these glasses as a Christmas gift, so don't know yet how they will be received. However, I'm confident that my bee-keeping brother-in-law will be delighted with them. They are quite unusual with the the little bee moulded into the class. That's what attracted me. Quite a heavy glass so suitable for all occasions. I've only given 4 stars as I don't know yet what the reaction will be. 17 December 2014
Vive la France! These glasses are great - good to look at and sturdy enough not to worry about the kids using them. They remind us of French skiing holidays, so what's not to love about them? 08 December 2014
Great for outdoors We have a set of these glasses to use primarily outside, one got knocked off the table last week and fell onto flagstones it survived without so much as a chip! Lovely sturdy and decorative, highly recommended 24 August 2014
Glass A study glass, ideal for drinks in the garden or verandah. Safe to put in the dishwasher and cheap enough not to worry about breakage. Great for a cold lager or large wine. 20 August 2014
Stylish contemporary product. These glasses are a design classic. The bee design is beautiful without making them over ornate. The stem of the glass looks fantastic and makes them very ergonomic to hold. They are just heave enough to be sturdy without being too heavy and chunky. Overall a pleasure to drink from! 29 April 2014
Stylish and practical Chunky and pretty at the same time, very nice for use in the garden as well as the dinner table. Great to create a shabby chic look. Good value. 18 March 2014
