Q & As

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Proper Heat Proof Oven Gloves I have two pairs of these, and only wash one at a time because they need to dry thoroughly before using again after washing. Proper heat proof oven gloves, the best I have ever purchased, and well worth the money. 06 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by No more burnt fingers Replaced a previous but cheaper purchase that used to give burnt fingers occasionally. No chance with this one first class and no more burnt hands or fingers 27 October 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best oven gloves These oven gloves are great. Fully heat proof of course but the double sided mitts are very handy. When you grab them in a hurry they are always the correct way round. 01 September 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by A good oven glove It does its job very well. It does however take a long time to dry as it cannot be tumble dried. 07 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Actually Heat Proof Oven Gloves This is my second pair of these oven gloves (the first pair needed washing) they are really heat proof so you can hold dishes for quite a while, which is useful in my small kitchen. They also wash really well. So much better than cheaper alternatives. 27 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good heat resistant properties In terms of being heat resistant this is superb, I do question its stain resistant properties though. 26 May 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stylish product I was very pleased with the quality of this product, it is as expected from the Le Creuset brand. I found the material was slightly stiff when first purchased but this has lessened now after being washed. 26 May 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Awkward and clumsy for smaller items On the basis of company reputation, visual appearance, and the very positive reviews here and elsewhere, I purchased online a Le Creuset Double Oven Glove. The product does look great, and its design conveniently allows it to be kept draped over the handle of my oven. Separately, in terms of hand protection, I cannot fault this item. However, the benefit of the protection offered by the glove comes with a significant downside. While it's probably well-suited for heavy pots with large handles to hold on to, for items with small handles or edges, the thickness of the glove makes it awkward and clumsy to use. I'd go further and say the lack of flexibility can make the glove dangerous when picking up smaller-sized items, because one is more likely to lose the grip and drop such items. Oven gloves are most often needed in my own kitchen for picking up baking trays or pots with rather small handles. The thickness and absence of dexterity of the Le Creuset Double Oven Glove makes it a poor choice in these cases, and on many occasions I've reverted back to using a tea towel instead. With the wisdom of hindsight, what I should have done is first try on the product in a shop, rather than simply buy it online on the assumption I was saving time. If I could start again, I'd opt instead for either (i) mitts with thumbs or (ii) individually fingered gloves made with Nomex or similar materials. 20 April 2015
