Le Creuset, Shallow Buffet Casserole
Best Pan Ever
This pan is amazing, absolutely nothing sticks to it, it washes with a flick of the wrist and cooks just about anything. Apart from the obvious casserole and roasting type dishes it makes an excellent full English breakfast; put the lid on when the eggs are frying for super fast eggs that don't need flipping. If I make a tagine or something similar this looks good enough to put on the table so that everyone can dive in and dip breads in etc. I've also bought them for my grown up children who find them as indispensable as I do. If I could only use one pan for the rest of my days - this would be it!

The perfect pan
This is a truly wonderful, versatile pan. Fries, sautes, casseroles beautifully.

Had been waiting for Le Creuset cast iron shallow casserole to be on offer but when I saw this I decided to buy instead and I'm so pleased I did! It is so practical, much lighter to handle than cast iron. Great to use on hob then transfer to oven. Hardly any oil necessary if frying, brilliant for one pot cooking, looks great on table too. Like the clear glass lid, especially useful when simmering. My best loved kitchen item. Ordered on line and, as usual with JL, speedily delivered and well packaged too.

another lifelong creuset
It seems there will always be another Le Creuset that is indispensible to add to the collection. This double-handled pan is perfect to go from burner to oven with so many favourite recipes. Easy to handle and SO easy to clean. A perfect depth for pasta dishes, risottos, fish bakes and much more.

We use it every day
I already have a 24cm frying pan in this range, so knew how fantastic the non-stick surface is - everything just glides off, and you can cook with the minimum of oil or butter, or, indeed, none at all for many foods. I was looking for a 28cm or 30cm frying pan, then it occured to me that this pan would be a) much easier to store - no long handle and b) much more adaptable in use as it can easily fit in the oven as well as on the hob, and also looks impressive on the table, as well having the glass lid which is useful for simmering etc.
It is described as "shallow". It is obviously shallower than a normal casserole, but comparatively deep for a frying pan.
I would recommend it without hesitation, unless you are only ever cooking for one, in which case you should buy something smaller in this same range.

Great multipurpose pan. Large enough for family meals, easy to clean and with a glass lid you are able to see what's cooking.

Every Kitchen should have one
This is the best dish we have ever used, there are so many things that you can cook in it, and it looks great on the table as a serving dish (saves on the washing up of serving plates).
