very beautiful I have this in slate and gave it to my dil in black. It is very beautiful. Aesthetically it enhances my kitchen (and hers). It is wonderful when used on low/medium heat and in the oven, however I do find that it doesn't cope with high temperature frying/ browning. Things stick. Or burn. This limits how useful it is. I still rate it because, if I am really careful when I use it in food preparation, it is great and I can place it on the table . It is beautiful. Nevertheless I would prefer to be able to use it without all the preliminary precautions required. 09 March 2013

All round excellent value I bought this as a Christmas treat for my wife and I. It's a great product. Excellent for curries, casseroles and steaks. It also looks great on the dinner table and keeps food beautifully warm. We try to use it daily, not just for special occasions. Easy to clean, in the sink or dishwasher. As a bonus, I bought it with 25% off, but worth it at full price. All round excellent value. 27 February 2013

Love this casserole Brought this for my son in law for christmas, he's a keen cook, he just loved it, looks lovely, good enough to use oven to table, it is very heavy though, not sure my daughter would manage to lift it from the oven when its hot & full!! 28 December 2012

Excellent product I bought this casserole on-line for meat long-time cooking, like beef, spare rib and lamb. This one can perfectly seal the steam and make the meat tender and quicker to be cooked. Brilliant - multi purpose dish - for use both in oven (AGA) and on top. I have purchased this Le Creuset Shallow Casserole for my daughter for Christmas because she loves using mine when visiting home from abroad. I use mine so often as it travels well from oven to table. Great for a variety of dishes - meat, fish or pasta etc. Importantly it cleans really well after use and looks very nice if left out! 13 December 2012
