Commissioned in the 18th Century by King Frederick William II of Prussia (1744 – 1797) as a sign of peace, the Brandenburg Gate is one of Berlin's most important monuments - both as an architectural landmark and historic symbol - for over 200 years. Completed in 1791 it was the grandest of a series of 18 gates through the city - and is the only one that has survived.
This highly-detailed Lego model, co-developed and designed by Adam Reed Tucker, captures all of the distinctive features that make Brandenburg Gate such an icon for Germany.
