Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10 Dual-Mode Laptop, Intel Pentium, 4GB RAM, 500GB, 10.1" Touch Screen, Black

Product information

The versatile Lenovo Flex 10 is the perfect way to get the most out of touch screen applications on the go. It features a dual-mode design that allows you to rotate the keyboard through 300 degrees to stand mode, for watching videos and getting the most out of your touch screen. This affordable laptop also features a quad-core Intel Pentium processor to ensure excellent performance.

Key Features:

  • The Intel Pentium processor and 4GB of RAM, will deliver reliable performance for your everyday tasks, whether that's communicating with friends through social media and video calls, or simply browsing the internet and creating documents.

  • Packing a 500GB hard drive, the Flex 10 will provide plenty of room for the whole family to store their documents, videos, photos and music.

  • Flex 10 can be positioned in two modes. The first, as a regular laptop, is ideal for typing and browsing using the multitouch touchpad. You can then flip the laptop through 300 degrees, bringing the screen to the front, with the keyboard acting as a stand. In this position, you'll be able to seamlessly interact with the touch screen and enjoy movies in HD.

  • Flex 10 is incredibly portable. It measures just 21mm in height when closed and weighs 1.2kg, so it won't be a burden in your bag.

  • You can choose the input method you prefer. The 10-point capacitive touch screen is great for taking advantage of Windows 8's interface, or if you prefer, you can use the multi-touch touchpad to navigate with gestures and accuracy. Whichever method you choose, you won't want to miss out on the fantastic AccuType keyboard. Lenovo's AccuType keyboard has been ergonomically designed to be more comfortable to use and help reduce errors.

  • Two USB ports and Bluetooth makes transferring data and connecting peripherals fast and easy. A Wi-Fi connection will help you connect to the internet through a wireless router at home or through a public access point.

Q & As

Rated 2 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Avoid this like the plague I needed a small lightweight netbook to check emails and carry out other basic tasks whilst on the move. I thought the Lenovo would tick the boxes, however after barley using the laptop 4 or 5 times in as many weeks, I have finally given up! The screen stalls and requires rebooting, the system struggles to find a connection and more often than not just sits in no man's land. The system shuts down of its own accord and then takes an eternity to re boot! I gave my laptop to Geeks-on-Wheels, to set up for me. I was convinced that it was my ignorance that was the problem? I've learned today that it is in fact the device! My advice... steer clear of this one! 23 July 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Rather disappointed Had to return this within days of purchase due to screen fault developing, touch screen facility being very temperamental and wake from sleep mode not functioning - seems all a bit thrown together. Awaiting what Medion decide to do with it as now its being looked at over in Germany with no guarantee that it will be properly fixed. Also as per other reviewers runs slowly and struggles with multiple windows. Poor experience really which I didnt expect from Lenovo. 17 July 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Disapppointing This is a 4GB laptop that Windows can only use 1.84GB of - rather less than other 32-bit Windows computers I have seen with only 2GB RAM. Lenovo support has been VERY POOR. I was advised that this was "normal" and told the only way I could use more memory was to install 64-bit Windows. This is COMPLETELY WRONG advice, as the chipset in this laptop will not boot 64-bit operating systems. Also, the touchscreen randomly stops working, which requires a reboot. So, although I like the build, as the BIOS has been implemented in such a way as to preclude the use of most of this RAM, don't buy the 4GB version - at least the 2GB version gives you a copy of Office, and probably works just as well as this model. So if you want a laptop to do very simple things only, it's not too bad - but I didn't buy it for that. The ASUS T100 with 2GB RAM is more usable...I won't be buying another Lenovo laptop anytime soon. 09 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by a great little laptop A great budget laptop from Lenovo. A few problems when it was upgraded to Win 8.1 which I fixed with a bit of internet trawling. Bluetooth stopped working, wouldn't wake from sleep mode. A perfect mobile platform for running the dreaded Windows and Microsoft apps. 28 March 2014
