Leonhard Pfeifer for John Lewis Abbeywood 2 Door, 3 Drawer Chest
Beautiful and useful cupoboard
I had seen this beautiful cupboard in Sept 2012 in the John Lewis catalogue and thought it most unusual and I particularly liked the colours. I was not able to visit a John Lewis store to see the cupboard but have been delighted with it- well made .

Stylish, fun Unit
This unit is an extremely practical and quality piece of furniture- it provides ample storage compartments and drawers, all soft-closing. It doesn't disappoint in the looks department either- the soft, muted colour laminate panels add a splash of retro glamour to any neutral scheme. A clever, multi functional unit that is perfect in our lounge. Also- despite a few unforseen complications with our order, a big thank you to John Lewis for their attentive, first class customer service and ensuring that we received our goods at our convenience.

Warped in first week
We have had this side board 1 week, put a small vase on it, when i moved the vase to clean the area beneath had faded a swollen up, totally ruined. A lovely piece of furniture and i am sure John Lewis will replace or refund. This is most unusual for John Lewis everything we have bought from them has always been vey good quality. Dont put vases on this sideboard!

Just the job
This chest or sideboard is just what we needed to bring a contemporary touch to our entrance hall - out went the old dark wooden table and this colourful chest suddenly brought colour to the area. It is well made - the drawers have a soft close feature and of course it does have the bonus of providing a good deal of storage space of different dimensions. It is in it's third week but we are very pleased with our purchase so far.

The John Lewis Abbeywood 2 Door, 3 Drawer Chest has all the trappings of a really wonderful, contemporary, well designed piece of furniture that would not look out of place in either a living room or a bedroom. The Abbeywood chest has been designed exclusively for John Lewis by award winning furniture guru, Leonard Pfeifer. The chest is made predominately from Oak solids and veneers, with high gloss painted doors to give it that quirky look. The chest really only needs cleaned with a damp cloth, no harsh chemicals needed. It will arrive assembled, however the four legs need to be screwed on, to do this will require two people as the chest will need to be put on it's back, then lifted upright. A truly quirky piece of furniture.

Bought this a few months ago for our dining room. Concerned how the modern design would go with our William Morris walpaper but it looks great. Had been looking for something different for a while and this fits the bill nicely. Not sure how hard wearing it will be as there is small chip out of coloured veneer already - but what the heck it looks great. Bit pricey for what it is tho. Very helpful delivery guys.
