Marvellous TV in both 2d and 3d
Almost the same size as a 42 inch TV and with no bezel gives a much more invoving picture. Such a thin screen it looks even smaller.
Colour and sound are both marvellous once you take the time to set it up the way you like it.
3D movies are really excellent and I dont find watching tires the eyes at all.
Set looks very impressive and modern and is admired by everyone who sees it.

Excellent Product, Excellent Service
After much research on a new television, I found the internet site provided by John Lewis to be very user friendly and the cost of the TV was competitive compared to the market. With the 5 year guarantee included, made the purchase extremely attractive.
Lots of options for delivery when ordering and the television arrived at the due time and day.
Would recommend anyone to check out John Lewis before any purchase

Excellent service and great product
Really pleased with TV the picture quality in both HD and 3D is outstanding SD is not as good but expected that. The look of this TV is great hardly any Bezel round the outside and the silver colour looks really smart
John Lewis service and delivery teams were excellent. Only reason not 5 stars is the SD picture quality which is good but when seen next to HD and 3D is not in the same league .

Fantastic TV, but patient tweaking required.
Can understand JustinB55 comments & frustrations although once you have got decent settings the picture will blow you away.
I have had this TV for 3 months and the picture is outstanding for the majority of time, then after that its just very good! Yes HD material is what this TV does best, but SD is also good for a flatscreen LED set. And I had a superb Panasonic plasma for 6 years (also bought from John Lewis) before this LG, and the LG is better.
The passive 3D is also top quality. And for the depth of the TV, the sound was better than I had expected and more than adequate for every day TV and non bass heavy movies. Although I would recommend a decent surround sound to make it better!
The only problem I have found with this TV is the tweaking required to get it to a top picture. The out of the box picture settings, except Expert 1 & 2 are quite poor. It does take time, effort & testing, but is well worth it. I am lucky that I am a member of a very good electronics forum and using the suggested settings from there improved the picture enormously.
I would recommend this TV (2 friends have already bought it and very happy), but remember to search round the web for optimum settings and you won't be disappointed.

Wish I'd never bought this
After thinking that we needed a bigger telly and a 3D one at that we have big regrets purchasing this TV. Yes it offers some great 'smart' features and the passive 3D IS very very good, possibly the best 3D experience on a TV I've seen (TRON 3D Bluray was great). But there is a huge issue with many of these new 'smart' TVs. Their picture is actually often worse than that of older full HD LCD sets.
We used to own a basic SONY 37" LCD tv. The picture was outstanding - beautiful blacks, incredible in HD. However the LG's picture is hugely flawed even after spending weeks trying to fiddle around with the many settings.
Firstly the screen is extremely glossy so everything looks ultra saturated and too shiny. It's hard to get a 'natural' setting on the TV and worse still when presented with dark movies or content the picture really struggles.
When you've messed around with the 'smart' features (That you'll rarely use to be honest) and realised that there are only a handful of 3D films then you realise a tv is about one thing - picture quality. And this is where we really regret buying this TV.

Excellent living room tv
The up-scaling of sd tv is very good.
More importantly playing a blu ray via HDMI cannot be faulted.
The 3D feature is best achieved after adjusting the 3d settings based on where the viewers sit .
Overall an excellent product. The only issue is the manual which is on screen via a menu, which some people who like to read the manual first might find disconcerting

Great TV for the money.
We purchased this TV because it has a large screen, 3D capability and low energy consumption LED technology. We have been running it for the past month and I can honestly say we have had no problems at all. We are delighted with our purchase and would recommend this set wholeheartedly. It looks superb whether it is switched on or off! The picture quality is fantastic.
As we run it through a home cinema receiver, I cannot comment on the sound quslity delivered through its in-built speakers, but on every other level we are very satisfied. It fully deserves its 5 star rating.
