John Lewis Lingerie Washing Bags, Pack of 3
These look after your delicates and your machine!
Just coming back to purchase another set of these washing bags. Have found these excellent to use in the washing machine. The netting holes are large enough for the garments within to still get thoroughly laundered and protected from the drum action. I actually prefer the drawstring to a zipper type - sets purchased in the past with zippers have broken and bags had to be binned. You just tie a knot in the drawstring once tightened and this stays in place, no problem.
As for other customers' bra hooks getting caught, I have found that you simply do up the bra before it goes into the bags and this stay in place too...!
As usual, another great JL item - thanks team.

Not suitable for bras
These bags are irritating. The mesh is too big. The bra clasps get hooked in the mesh causing a complete muddle. The pull strings are too long as well and get wrapped around other laundry if you use them instead for say, a delicate shirt. Hopeless. Poor product design.

I wish John Lewis would sell fabric delicates bags with a zipper, not mesh netting with a draw cord like these. These have a VERY long cord, which gets tangled around the rest of the clothes in the wash, but most annoying is that the bras clasps get tangled in the netting, which ends up breaking them (or at the very least, opening the metal hook). The washing bags have ended up in the bin. Most disappointing.

Ok washing bags
These were bought to replace some old mesh bags with zips on them which are now 8 years old and falling apart. I guess I didn't really pay attention to the sizes when buying. But the smallest one will take a bra, the medium one some thick tights or something and the largest will take a jumper or a dress.
My experience so far with them hasn't been that great as I am often in a hurry and perhaps don't draw the string tight enough, so I often find the garment still floating around in the washing machine when the cycle has finished. So I am thinking I prefer rust-proof zips. On the plus side, I have found the large bag to be a good bag to keep the bath toys in?

How many times do you loose socks in the wash, hankies get left behind in the machine or bras get twisted up with everyday items in the washing machine. This product stops all this by separating them into bags. makes no difference to cleanliness. it makes washing easy without the hassle of trying to sort through items - great product

Fit for purpose
These laundry bags come in a variety of sizes, perfect for protecting delicate items in the wash. They are good quality, and the mesh is sufficiently small to prevent laundry poking through and being damaged. Exactly what I needed.

Bring back zips please!
The previous bags I had from John Lewis had zip tops. These have string tops with a toggle to pull tight. The strings are ridiculously long and get entangled around all the other washing in the machine. Even if you only have wash bags in the machine (last night I had 3 in) they all got tangled around each other and it took me about 15 minutes to untangle them. Got so fed up I nearly cut the strings! Do not recommend at all.
