WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY:
It's very slim and resolves the need for a keyboard wrist rest.
My last one lasted 2 years on the same rechargeable battery and only failed due to the user (me), spilling liquid on it.
Key response time does depend on the proximity of the USB link, I have found having a USB extension cable sitting behind or next to the monitor really helps.
I have read that it's not very Mac friendly, however if you have a Mac, you should really buy a Mac keyboard which is fairly excellent.
Generally try to keep the keyboard in a well lit environment to ensure it keeps nicely charged.
GAMERS - This may not have the response time you require.
I chose this product for intensive computer use in an office environment and it's fulfilled that criteria very well. It has to be noted I do not hammer the keys, so some older users may make it fail if they use the same pressure as used with the older type writers. I'm the 'go to' guy for computer advice normally, and I've supplied it to two other regular computer users. Unfortunately one failed after a few months, but the replacement has worked as normal - a bit of shame really, but they're otherwise very happy. I did try to remove the rechargeable battery from the old keyboard, and you have to half destroy it to do this. This shouldn't worry you though, as the battery is of a high quality and should last well beyond 3-5 years.
OPTIONAL SOFTWARE (PC only I believe)
There is some 'pretty' software which indicates the solar charging, should you ever wonder why it's losing power. On Windows 7 this appears to be flawless and functions without error.

Although light and thin this is a really solid keyboard which is comfortable to use. Keys are responsive and a pleasure to type on.

Very nice black gloss keyboard. Sturdily made, soft touch keys, Sits nicely under the monitor stand. Charges by it's built in solar panels, and is always ready for work.
There are two small rear support legs which are a little femmer, but I do not use them anyway. All in all, a very nice purchase and would recommend to a friend.

A month in and still working perfectly, fully charged all the time, good size, quiet, nice feel. Glad I got this keyboard.
Only 1 minor issues; very slippy, it doesn't have the usual rubber pads to stop it moving about, mine sits in the right position right up to the monitor base but it could cause a problem for some people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Myke Top marks for John Lewis & Logitech K750 keyboard
I purchased, online, the Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Panel Keyboard on 20th July 2012. This was my first online purchase from John Lewis and ordering it went smoothly and quickly. The keyboard arrived quickly - 2 days before I expected it to, which was a nice surprise.
The packaging was extremely good, giving excellent protection to the keyboard.
Installation of the keyboard was very easy, effectively connect and go. I chose this keyboard for 3 main reasons....
1. I have lots of cables running from my computer and want to get rid of as many as possible. So I wanted a wireless keyboard.
It does this very well, sharing a USB port with my Logitech wireless mouse. Even better is it being solar powered as I don't have to keep an eye on the battery level in case the keyboard dies on me. I've been using it for 3 weeks now about 4-5 hours a day and the keyboard has never been less than fully charged. The keyboard is situated in a north facing room about 6ft/2m from the only, average-sized, window. It responds as well as the cabled keyboard it replaced.
2. I wanted the smallest feasible desktop footprint to free up space on my desk. But I still wanted full-sized keys and key spacing. It does this very well.
3. I have also purchased a wireless mouse #Logitech also) and wanted to mimimise the USB ports being used. This keyboard uses use a Logitech's 'Unifying Receiver' which allow me to use several Logitech wireless devices via the single USB port. It's brilliant, takes a couple of minutes to set up and performs as well as a wired keyboard and mouse, but I don't have cable over my desktop.
In addition I find the keyboard very pleasant to use - which is good given the amount of time I use it each day!
Overall I give the whole shopping experience 10/10 - as I had no problems & delivery was quicker than I expected.

I've been using this keyboard for 3 weeks and am only not giving it 5 stars because, as other reviews I read mentioned, the 2 pop up legs are a bit weedy. Am using it with the legs in use and it's fine but they do feel prettty flimsy.
It's lovely to type on - very similar to a laptop. The solar power has worked flawlessly so far.
Even with the flimsy legs, I'd but another one!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Muinteor Not really Mac compatible
Whatever virtues this keyboard may have, and there seem to be many, Mac compatibility is not one of them despite it being claimed in the description on the JL website.
The keyboard is set for Windows and there is no way to change them other than the Command and Alt keys. All the downloadable software is for Windows so, for example, the Caps Lock indicator which appears on screen as there is not one on the keyboard, is not available for Mac users.
Logitech make a version of this keyboard for Mac; something I was not aware of when I purchased this one and I shall try that one after this one has been returned.
