Magimix 2-Slice Vision Toaster
Attractive toaster that makes lovely toast
Toast is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, just perfect. I wanted a long slot toaster to fit my home made bread! And this does the job perfectly. I like that you can see the toast browning, so you can stop it at any point if you wish. I've used the warm up feature and the bagel functions too, all work well. The machine also looks great in my kitchen, not too heavy looking as you can see through it and I didn't want one of the bigger square type models. It's expensive, but I like it very much and have not regretted buying it. Get one, you'll be glad you did.

Don't delay buy today!
I debated long and hard whether I should buy this. It seemed a huge amount for a toaster. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it is.The bread is toasted so evenly and joy of joys you can SEE it ...none of this endlessly pressing the button to see if its done. All the buttons are easy to see and use and it looks good as well. I am 62 so what with the 3 year guarantee and magi mix products reputation for longevity(I have had their food processor for nearly 25 years!) I reckon I will get my day out of the toaster! I would definitely recommend pushing the boat out on this one!

Magimix 2-Slice Vision Toaster
This is the best toaster I have ever had.
Although expensive it is well worth the money as being able to see the toast browning is so good.
With other toasters I have had, some quite expensive, it is impossible to see how the toast is browning until it comes up, and then its too late if it is burnt !
So to be able to see whats happening is very worth the price.
Lovely with thick or thin bread, the toast is perfect.

Expensive but worth it
I have been looking for the 'perfect' toaster for some time and was so impressed by the specification of this one that I had one for Christmas
The majority of toasters have small slots which won't accommodate certain slices (e.g. Warburton's Toastie) nor pittas or naan breads. This one has one wide long slot and also the ability to see the progress of browning, which is wonderful. The drop down sides make retrieval of jammed toast easy - not that this has occurred because it accommodates the bread so well. It makes very good toast, crisp outside, soft inside.
Downside - slow to heat up, and tends to brown the top edge a bit more than the rest of the slice (you can even see this happening on the Magimix website video of it in action).
On the whole though I rate it a good purchase and would recommend it.

I bought this toaster based on the fact that it was a Which? best buy but have found that the toast burns at the top before the rest of the slice is ready. I have since watched a "You tube" video which looks like it does the same thing. Very disappointed considering the price of the toaster and the Magimix reputation.

The toast produced from this toaster is just brilliant it doesn't matter what type of bread, bun or crumpet your toasting its consistently perfect. The toaster is well constructed and has a solid feel about. However the toaster is ridiculously expensive even taking the above into account.

Nice but broke after 18 months
We bought this in April 2012 but last month it broke - the knob wouldn't stay down so you had to hold it down to toast. Fortunately we still had the receipt so we took it back to JL and it was sent off for repair. This took 2 weeks and it now works OK. We have had cheaper toasters than this that have lasted a lot longer. Maybe this fault was just a one-off but they do say their products are made to last longer. Tip = keep hold of your receipt.

Magimix 2 slice toaster
No 5 setting makes perfect toast ,in fact the best toast I have ever had from a toaster. The slide out drawer that catches crumbs works well & no excess crumbs fall from toaster after that is cleaned to mess up cupboard when stored. It does not need turning upside down like most toasters to shake out crumbs even when drawer has been cleaned . It is quite heavy which makes it very stable on kitchen surface as it cannot move easily like most toasters. The glass front/back open by pressing button under toaster for easy cleaning of glass if required. The sides of toaster do get very warm whereas the double glazed glass do not to touch. The width to insert bread or buns in is very generous so no problems .The reheat facility is very useful.I do find however that it is better to heat the toaster up with no bread in first and let that pop up & then put bread in to toast as its a bit slow in my opinion this way the toast is even better.Visually to see what stage the toast is at ,is nice so you can take it out exactly to perfection especially when you are deciding what number to set the dial.It is the nicest toaster I have ever had & would recommend highly even though it is more expensive than most toasters maybe
