Make Your Own Bonboniere

Bonbonieres are traditional Italian wedding favours that are given to guests as a gift. They contain sugared almonds which symbolise health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. They can be as simple or elaborate as you like. Combine different coloured organza discs and finish with flowers, ribbons and beaded wires.

How to make the flower bonboniere
1. Place a favour cup in the centre of an organza disc. Fill with 5 almonds.
2. Gather up the sides of the disc and use a length of ribbon to secure in place.
3. Combine your flowers and beaded wires and wind around the ribbon to keep everything secured. If you do not want to use ribbon, the wires will hold the organza in place.
4. Experiment with different colours and combinations until you find your favourite.
