Mulberry was founded in 1971 in the English county of Somerset. The brand’s heart remains in the very same place today, nestled in the fold of the rolling Mendip Hills next to small towns and villages. Many of our leather goods are still made in England, brought to life by the skilled hands of over 500 local craftsmen and craftswomen working in The Rookery in Chilcompton, and The Willows in Bridgwater. Mulberry products are made from the finest leathers, infused with natural beauty, long lasting and practical, both effortlessly and authentically English.
Since 1971 Mulberry has interpreted the sensibilities of the English countryside in its very own way, pioneering the desire for ‘Le Style Anglais’. Spring Summer 2014 revisits this style attitude, reinterpreting the traditional and delivering the unexpected.
Inspired by modernist overtones of Sixties London, the Spring Summer 2014 collection presents decade-defining polka-dots, graphic florals highlighted with flashes of Fiery Red and Summer Blue and a beautiful new bag shape, the Kensal. Bold stripes based on the linear pattern of rolling English fields feature in two-tone leather and suede presenting Mulberry’s most iconic styles Bayswater and Willow with a contemporary twist.
