Q & As

Nespresso Pixie Automatic Coffee Maker by Magimix, Lime Green 4.5 5 6 6
Looks great, good quality, very difficult to understand instructions, not as good as the U machine. We had a Nespresso U machine, which is far better and easier to use, and cheaper! but the colour didnt match our kitchen, so we got this one. The manual is very difficult to understand, it took an hour to understand how to take off the water holder, and its difficult to get at. The U machine is 10/10, so we have been spoilt! this is a great little machine, though not a patch on the U, its noisier and vibrates more, and does not automatically dispose of the old capsule. Having said that, its still great and looks better in our kitchen, but if I had the choice I would go for the U machine. 28 October 2012
Expensive way to get small cups of good coffee I admit this was an impulse buy after reading good reviews. Machine looks pretty and is fairly compact, but I find I need to place it sideways on for access to water carrier which is sometimes tricky to engage or remove.Better to use straight sided cups. My cups are 250 ml conical shaped cappucino cups and they only just fit onto cup stand. Neat mechanism to eject used capsules, so there is not the mess some people report on other coffee machines. Coffee is quick to make but the quantities are very small, so sometimes one need to use two capsules to get a decent size cup, eg for breakfast. As said before, and with these small quantities, you need to use hot milk unless you want cold coffee. Instruction book could have been better and though capsules are colour coded names of coffee are hard to read. Do not think this and the machine in general are very suitable for anyone elderly or with poor sight. A bit irritating to use for relaxing breakfast(or when you have many guests to serve coffee to). Online descriptions of the coffees are pretentious and unhelpful. However, Nexpresso Club customer service sent me very helpful reply to my questions. The coffee is expensive, especially as one has to add on postage. I shall give the machine a longer try but suspect it will go back in cupboard. My D'longhi electric perculator, or a cafetierre makes just as good coffee for less cost and has the advantage that one can adjust strength and volume of coffee to suit one's own taste. Nothing terrible, but I wouldn't spend money on another. 08 June 2012
Stylish and practical. This is a fabulous little machine that produces great coffee. I have tried other coffee capsule machines but this is by far the best. Very easy to use and clean and looks great too. Capsules can be bought from the Nespresso boutique in Selfridges where you can also sample the different flavours. Unfortunately there are postage costs when buying online from Nespresso but that is my only tiny gripe. 03 May 2012

Nespresso coffee machine I am extremely pleased with my Nespresso coffee machine. I particularly like the efficiency of the machine and the fact that it's so easy to use. The capsules are disposed of in a very neat way by retaining them in the container and there is consequently no mess at all. The coffee is always hot and flavourful. I have also bought an aero vino which is amazing! 29 December 2011
