Now a global super brand, Nike started from humble beginnings in 1950s America. A college track coach named Bill Bowerman, and an athlete named Phil Knight, combined their skills and knowledge to bring innovation to the world of running shoes.

One of these innovations was inspired by Bill Bowerman’s waffle iron. Bowerman realised that by creating gridded grip on the soles of their shoes, the shoe would have greater traction yet still propel the runner forward.

Great for exercise classes and the gym Really nice fitting and comfortable to wear. True to size and a good length too. These wash really well and I have had much use out of them. Would highly recommend. 26 February 2013

really comfortable & flattering really love these - i'm a size 10-11 and based on other reviews i went for size M which were perfect. the waist is quite wide so flattering on your tummy & really comfy to wear. going to see if they have them in long fitting too! 11 February 2013

Very comfortable and good quality Ordered several pairs of gym capri pants and these were definitely the best. They are quite thick and excellent quality and the size medium ffitted my 10-12 shape well. My only gripe is that I can't think how these could ever look flattering on anyone, apart from the very young or a supermodel. I would feel ok in the gym environment wearing these but certainly not to nip to the shop on the way back. They are very form fitting and although thankfully offer good coverage around the pelvis area, there is no wear to hide in these, unless you wear them with a long t shirt. Notice that there is also a tight version of these available, but would really prefer a loose version. 10 July 2012

very comfortable and flattering I use these at a weekly Fitness League class and they are just perfect. I like capri pants and find these with a slightly looser leg below the knees are ideal. 15 February 2012

Flattering I'm a great fan of the Nike Legend Capri Pants, they fit like a second skin and the cut is very flattering (around the glutes!). The wide, soft waist band fits just bellow the belly button which is very comfortable. Unfortunately, I had to send these back as they are a slim fit and I prefer the tight fit version. 28 January 2012
