Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I have been using this lens a lot and have been very pleased with the outcome. 21 September 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Go for the 70-300mm I've been using this lens for quite a while now and the main issue I find with this lens is its sharpness. I can't comment on the other reviewers experiences but for me, at the extreme zoom end, my pictures become quite soft. I have found quite a few others share this issue online. One recommendation I've seen is to increase the f stop (reduce the aperture) which may bring some sharpness back but I have yet to try this. If this doesn't work I'll be looking for a new lens quite soon. At the price point this lens may look tempting, but I would advise to avoid it. A better beginner/starter lens would be the Nikon 70-300mm, a little more money to begin with but, you'll save money by not upgrading to a better lens in the near future and have more fun by not having shot after shot turn out soft. 14 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Product This lens does all that it should, the sharpness at the top end of the zoom is remarkable, It is well made and an excellent step up from the 18-55mm kit lens. The staff gave excellent advice. 23 August 2012
