Orbit Baby G2 Newborn Pushchair Set

Product information

The Orbit Baby pushchair allows you to rotate your baby 360 degrees, as well as recline in one fluid movement. The modular system will grow with your child, from newborn to their toddler years. The Smart Hub docking ring allows you to attach and rotate your bassinette, stroller seat or car seat (sold separately) for total flexibility and convenience. Little ones can face you or watch the world go by, or rotate them to the side when you’re eating lunch or relaxing in the park.

The G2 package includes:

  • Pushchair frame
  • Bassinette
  • Car seat adaptors suitable for Maxi Cosi Pebble and Cabriofix infant carriers
  • Small weather pack
  • Large weather pack
  • Bassinette in slate

Please note: To complete your pushchair you will also need to purchase a Colour Pack (sold separately), which includes the sunshade. Choose from a range of bright colours to give your Orbit Baby a unique look.

Designed with busy parents in mind, the one handed fold makes everyday transitions easier. The frame collapses compactly in all three dimensions to fit in even the smallest car boots, and what’s more, there’s no need to bend when doing it - the backsaving motion leaves you standing with the frame in your hand. It’s also freestanding when folded and can be towed with one hand.

Little ones are also guaranteed a comfy ride, thanks to the innovative QuadShock™ suspension and hassle-free no-pump tires. The state of the art ventilation system incorporates a perforated seat, airflow channels and wicking fabric for a cool and comfortable stroll.

The set includes a contemporary bassinette that can be used as a rocking cradle, an easy to carry moses basket or it can be attached to the Orbit Baby frame to create a stylish and functional pram. It will easily fold down to a height of just 15cm, making it the ideal size to fit into a suitcase. The removable cover will keep little ones warm and the soft microfibre mattress can be removed and machine washed. It also includes a two point safety harness and a soft carry handle.

The car seat adaptors included mean that you can turn your Orbit Baby into a convenient travel system with the addition of a Maxi Cosi Pebble or Cabriofix infant carrier (sold separately).

The small weather pack is compatible with the bassinette (as well as being suitable for use with car seats) and includes a PVC-free rain shield and mosquito net. The large weather pack is suitable for use with the stroller seat and also includes a PVC-free rain shield and mosquito net.

Additional features include a handy built-in tray and cup holder as well as removable Cargo pod changing bag, which has shoulder straps and bottle pockets.

Q & As

Orbit Baby G2 Newborn Pushchair Set 5 5 4 4
Extremely useful for a baby and toddler sibling It took quite some research to decide what pram to buy when I was pregnant with my second child. A double pram is always so bulky (both out and about in shops and then to store at home) and my (2 year old) daughter no longer enjoyed sitting on prams too long. And along came OrbitBaby with the perfect solution – both for my baby and his cool sister. For my baby this system has been absolute bliss, allowing me to seamlessly put him to bed in the bassinet, rock him (the rocker is just a genius invention), and then take him out in the pram without having to wake him up, just attaching the bassinet from one base to another. And the SideKick board is such a big plus in the long list of cool innovations this pram has - my daughter loved it from day one. Grocery shopping trips are now a joy with two children (I’m serious!) – my daughter feels so grown up skating along, and the panniers are actually very roomy (and have a very practical cover that keeps any “overflow” from falling out, as well as keeping the items dry when it rains). Given that I am quite tall, the fact that the skate is on the side means that I can walk comfortably and normally (unlike other boards which are placed right under the handles). The pram is incredibly easy to fold – it really is a one-handed trick – and I love that fact that the changing bag fits so stylishly under the pram, avoiding having to hang it from the handles… I could go on and on. I am delighted with our purchase as it has encouraged me to be out and about so much more. 12 July 2013
So glad I chose Orbit Baby!! Myself and my partner spent months researching strollers and visiting stores trying them out. My partner is a graphic designer and design is important to him - this was how we came across Orbit Baby. We practised with lots of strollers; folding, pushing, steering (it's our first!) and when we went to view the Orbit Baby, we knew it ticked all the boxes for us in terms of functionality. The pannier bags are so roomy and carry a small shopping trip no problem and we've made great use of the weather pack since our son's arrival too. The fabric of the footmuff is smooth, soft and warm and keeps our little bundle very snug. It's also organic material, which is a big plus for me. The co-founder of Orbit did a TEDx talk a few years ago which led us to finding out more about his background. After researching the brand and it's owners, we were suitably impressed with the company, their policies and the idea behind the Orbit product - something that is important to my partner. Our baby boy is now 3 months, he's still in the bassinet and I love how the stroller looks with the bassinet. It's so easy to pop the bassinet off the chassis and onto the rocker without having to disturb the sleeping baby! I'm really looking forward to using the stroller seat and rotating system when he is big enough. I love how the seat can face sidewards if we're out feeding the ducks or having a coffee. The convenience of being able to leave him in his stroller is such a novel idea. We really couldn't be happier with our Orbit, as I use it more than my partner I can honestly say it can be used with just one hand (and this is coming from somebody who has had many comedy moments in nursery stores trying to figure out folding systems!). As for my partner, he can rest assured that the concept, design and people behind the Orbit stroller and brand have been well researched! 09 January 2013
Wonderful stroller, well worth the money!! I had my eye on this stroller before it even came to the UK. The unique way in which the seat rotates 360 degrees is brilliant. We visit restaurants and coffee shops regularly and just park the pram next to the table, rotate the seat and our daughter is sat right there with us!! We have the bassinet which my daughter slept in it for her first few months and unlike a lot of other bassinets it has a solid base which means you can carry it easily. We also used it to take my daughter out in as it fits easily into the stroller base. The base comes with a built in drinks holder that is extremely handy for me and also has a snack tray that my daughter uses regularly. We have two shopping panniers that attach to the side of the pram that are like having two shopping baskets. I never realised how easy they make shopping until I was in the supermarket one day without them and was trying to steer the stroller and hold a shopping basket at the same time (nightmare). There is also a great changing bag that slides underneath the stroller which we put everything in from nappies, to spare clothes, toys, food and the list goes on. It's surprising how much you can actually fit in. The seat comes in different colours and we have a couple of colour pack options which means we can wash one set and still have another on. I also find it nice to have a change once in a while and your little ones clothes never have to clash with the stroller. The final and one of the most important features of the stroller is how easy and how small it folds. All you have to do is push 3 clips forwards then twist and lift and it folds with just one hand. It fits easily into the back of my smart car and is the envy of all my friends who are having to take lots of bits off their strollers before they can fold theirs down. 01 January 2013
The best decision for our baby After reviewing and seeing endless number of strollers, we decided on the Orbit Baby. I read about it in an online article and we test drove it later in a baby shop. We’ve purchased the bassinet, the stroller and accessories. The bassinet was our baby's bed for the first 2 months. It came with a rocker and we put it right next to our bed so we could rock her to sleep. This beats a moses basket by a mile. It was easily transported from one room to another because you can fold the rocker frame. The bassinet also has a 'Paparazzi shield' which covers the whole bassinet which came handy when we wanted her to have some darkness when we are out. She's now 8 months old and we've been using the stroller seat since she was 4 months old. It comes with a massive UV sunshade which really came in handy when it was hot. I didn't have to use a blanket to cover the front and clip it with laundry pin, all I have to is either rotate her to a direction against the sun or just pull the shade all the way and it covers her perfectly. The fabrics are eco friendly so I don't have to worry about her chewing. The one-handed folding mechanism is so simple and quick. After many tries with the Bugaboos, I still couldn't figure out how to fold down a B. Chameleon. But this one is so easy. Two clicks, seriously one-handed and twist and fold. It's also quite compact. When we're in restaurant, we can remove the stroller seat and put it on a regular chair then fold the chassis and store it away. It also fits the boot of a Honda Civic nicely with rooms for bags and shoppings. Cons: Not the smallest on the market and not the lightest but it's no heavier than any of the Bugaboos or the Stokke. It fits on buses but might struggle if there's another stroller on the bus already. This really is a stroller that grows with the baby and we cannot imagine our life without it. I can’t wait till we have a second one so I can get the sideboard, coolest thing ever on a stroller! 09 November 2012
