TV installation services

Small print

There are a few restrictions on our TV, home cinema and freesat installation services. To find out more, see below, or talk to one of the Partners in our TV departments.

Our TV installation service excludes:

  • The provision of brackets, stands, freeeview box, DVD/VCR, cables, adaptors or extension leads; these all need to be purchased before set-up, or may be included with your TV
  • Installation of Sky or cable system
  • Wall-mounting of amps or speakers, or setting up of speaker stands
  • Laying of cabling under carpets or flooring
  • Disposal of old equipment (unless purchased at an extra cost of £9 - see above), or installation of it in another room
  • Disposal of packaging - we recommend you keep this in case you want to transport your TV at a later date
  • Installation of new product not purchased from John Lewis (such as a DVD player), unless it's already connected to your existing TV

Freesat service

  • This service requires a freesat-compatible TV or set-top box. Our freesat installation excludes:
  • Installation of more than one mesh-type dish over 80cm
  • Connection or feed into more than 2 rooms
  • Installation at above 10m in height
  • Provision of specialised access equipment such as a crane, or non-standard mounting equipment such as extra-large wall brackets
  • Cable over 15m in length and/or specialist trunking
  • Permits for road closures for installation
