Coole Swan tastings

Every Sunday afternoon we offer complimentary tastings of Coole Swan. Coole Swan is a tasty cream liqueur made with Irish whiskey, cocoa, vanilla and double cream.

The gentle melt in the mouth feeling of the cold, fresh, cream and smooth silky white chocolate reveals the warmth of the mellow, rounded whiskey.

Every Sunday, 12.30pm - 4pm

Supporting our communities

Our aims

We're proud of the close links we forge between our Partners and local schools, charities and organisations. And wherever we do business, at home or abroad, we work with communities to make a difference. That's why:

  • Our Community Matters programme in our shops continues to support local charities and community groups.
  • We aim to give at least 1% of pre-tax profits to community initiatives.
  • We will continue to seek out projects that support the John Lewis Foundation at home and abroad.

If you'd like to nominate a good cause for Community Matters please complete the nomination form and take it to the Customer Services department.

The charities we're supporting from February 2017 – April 2017 are:

  • The Dr French Memorial Care Home- Our funding will provide extra activities for residents or trips out to local places of interest.
  • The Royal National Lifeboat Institution - Our funding will provide kit and training for the London crews, which has the highest number of launch and rescue operations in the country.
  • Solving Kid's Cancer - Our funding will help support the 35 children and families in London that the charity are currently working with.

This is how November 2016 - January 2017 Community Matters' charities benefited from being part of the scheme:

  • Young Enterprise Solutions received £1140
  • The Loss Foundationreceived £990
  • Resources for Autism received £870

John Lewis foundation

Since the introduction of the law requiring retailers to charge for single-use carrier bags, our charity, the John Lewis Foundation, has been responsible for distributing the proceeds to UK charities. We’ve aimed to choose charities closely aligned with the principles of the Foundation, supporting activities that promote education and inclusion, and enable employment. We’re sharing the past year’s proceeds of over £155,000 between six charities.
