Combining a DVD player/recorder, VCR, PVR (personal video recorder), music jukebox and Freeview tuner, the Panasonic DMR-EX99V is the most versatile of entertainers.

Movie lovers will appreciate the 1080p technology which offers improved image quality from standard DVDs, when connected to compatible TVs via HDMI.

And with a wealth of recording options to VHS, DVD or hard drive, you won’t miss any of your favourite shows either. The integral Freeview digital tuner achieves stable signal reception even under poor conditions, and includes an Electronic Programme Guide to help you plan your viewing. The 250GB hard drive alone provides up to 441 hours of recording capacity, and can be used to store the contents of your ripped CDs to create a massive MP3 jukebox.

The DMR-EX99V also makes it simple to back up your precious VHS recordings to DVD at the touch of a button – it really is that easy. There’s even a USB port and SD memory card slot, so you can transfer your digital images to the hard drive for burning onto DVD – no computer needed!

Everything it claims to be. Purchased to replace my ten year old non-digital Panasonic recorder this really is an all singing, all dancing model ! I have it linked to my Panasonic Viera TV via an HDMI connection and the play back is superb whether in Freeview TV programmes or DVD/ VHS recording. The SD memory card facility also brings a new dimension to family photographs, all I can say about this, is WOW ! I had no problem setting it up and the instructions are clear if read carefully. ( I am 80 yrs old) A real bonus was the fact I received a very generous price-match from JL (thank you) although I would have still chosen this model without the price-match. 22 January 2013

Excellent all-round video recording I needed something that would play my VHS tapes (especially old home movies), DVDs and also incorporate a HDD for easy recording of broadcast material. This product integrates seamlessly with my Panasonic smart TV and is everything that I wanted. 16 January 2013

Pleased Purchased this in summer 2012. Have many old videos which did not want to throw away and very few machines play both dvd and vhs. Also able to record on to dvd from family made videos. Did research before purchase and not many similar products on market. Looked at the cheaper Panasonic model but with this one I am able to programme and record on to the hard drive. John Lewis staff very helpful and explained the pros and cons of both machines. Instructions are complicated but but if I managed to work through them successfully then they can't be too difficult! Would not buy it again A n extremely complicated piece of equipment which is not intuitive. Accompanying guarantee is very unclear. It offered a three-year guarantee which I assumed was three years on top of the John Lewis two-year guarantee making five years, but it turned out to be three years altogether. Altogether disappointing. 30 October 2012

Quality Machine I bought the first one of these in 2006 from John Lewis, and have used the edit out adverts option on 100s of films giving me good DVD copies fom both free view and sky film channels, I have absolutley flogged this machine and it never fails. I purchased the current model recently and noticed a increase in quality on replay and more replay options. If I have to criticize it at all it would be on the apparent complexity of the instruction manual. 22 August 2012

All in one DVD recorder Appears to be really great all in one product from Panasonic. Only machine I could find that did everything, not had time to look at myself, as purchased to my elderly parents - hope its not too complicated. Great thing is that it apparently can trf VCR recordings to DVD, so can trf all those old memories, to newer format, saving space. More expensive, but as said does more functions than other cheaper machines, so worth extra. Previousy had Panasonic DVD players & TVs - very pleased & so will ing to trust Panasonic. Canot say anything specific, as not had chance to try out. 27 February 2012

Excellent product The recent purchase of a Panasonic VHS/HDD/DVD Digital Receiver/Recorder , following the switch over to digital has opened a whole new range of opportunities for me.Putting my old VHS recordings onto disc, recording programs from all the Free view channels, as and when, with absolute ease, and allowing me to review them before recording to disc etc. The scope of the equipment is vast and I'm sure that there are lots more tasks to explore. The hand book is very comprehensive and well set out. I now have a Viera link to my Panasonic TV to enjoy the best quality of picture from the set-up. I wish I had made the change much earlier rather than wait for the digital switch over. Excellent value for money. The internet order on John Lewis worked like a dream, including sorting out a personal quirk with my card data. Well done, JL. G. Bartle 26 October 2011

You can also rip your favourite CDs to the hard drive and use the Jukebox function. All at the touch of a button. With the built-in Freeview Tuner, you can record all your favourite TV shows to the 250GB Hard Drive also.
