This wonderfully versatile Panasonic DMR-EZ49V box incorporates DVD recorder, VCR, and Freeview receiver. It will even upscale your DVDs with a high definition makeover.

The DMR-EZ49 is also equipped with an Electronic Programme Guide to help you plan your viewing. The quick start function starts your recording at the touch of a button, so don’t waste any time, start recording your old VCR tapes onto DVD right away.

The Panasonic DMR-EZ49 allows easy, single-cable connection to a VIERA TV. You can even use the TV remote control to access functions to make recording settings or play a DVD.

The Panasonic DMR-EZ49 also ‘finalises’ a disc – making it ready for playback on another DVD player – automatically, so burning discs for friends and family or archiving your favourite shows becomes child’s play.

i have just bought another this particular item i bought for myself 2 years ago. when it plays videos and dvd's the quality is so much better, at present i only have an old anologe tv in my living room, the dvd player i have does'nt always play my disc's properly, and yet when i have tried then on this model they are fine, the video i have is over 10 years old, and i thought it would be worth purchasing another one, as i can still use it on my anologe tv, via a scart, the reason why i like this model, is it is good value for money,( it's come down in price since i bought my last one,) it also has teletext, and it plays an asortment of disc's to include dvd ram, you can record from video to dvd and vice verser, and it is easy to use, i have just ordered my mam one aswell, this product is one i would highly reckomend to anyone. 24 January 2013

surprising quality from VHS tapes I was pleasantly surprised to see such good pictures from my old tapes. Slightly damaged tapes could fool the machine into trying completely unsuccesfully to play them as SVHS, but a software setting detailed in the manual tells you how to tell the machine not to detect SVHS tapes and lo and behold my old tapes played OK and are now safely on DVD. Best for longevity if onto DVD+R I am told. 14 January 2013

Great recorder This was bought to replace a similar VHS DVD recorder that packed up the ghost. This is a far more refined product than the one it has replaced. Very useful this Christmas when our HDD recorder is working overtime. 26 December 2012
