Panasonic NC-ZK1 Kettle
Best Kettle Ever
It looks amazing in my new kitchen. Great performance. Modern. Amazing colour. Highly recommended product. Thanks to John Lewis!

Great Style and function - great product. Given some other feedback I was concerned about how heavy it would be - but it just is not a problem even though I have a problem with lifting generally. Can tell how much water is in it very easily, and easy to fill and the cool wall is a good feature. What's not to like.

Fantastic Design, Fantastic Kettle
This really is a fantastic kettle, we bought ours to go with our modern kitchen, and it fits in perfectly. Easy to clean, the outside does not get hot, pouring is flawless, once boiled the kettle keeps the water hot for a long period of time, quality and finish of the kettle are top! As with all the Panasonic products its built to last!

This kettle looks modern and a stylish, but does a terrible job . It is very heavy and awkward to use. It pours slowly and awkwardly. You have to wait Inbetween boils as it won't let you refill and boil immediately as the kettle is hot so thinks it has just boiled - even though it's filled with cold water. Very expensive and already looking for new one.

Great design but disappoingting performance
Spent a lot of money on a brand new kitchen and bought this kettle and matching toaster - perfect, or so we thought. Loved the design, a little heavy but knew that having tried it in-store.
After just 2/3 weeks lid started opening itself just as it reached boiling point, or when pouring. Back to store and replaced with new one. Sadly same thing happened with second one, so now that also returned and we have switched to a safer, but not as good looking alternative brand. Pity Panasonic, top marks for design but lacking in performance.

Went with a bang
In terms of looks it is very much a "statement"kettle but as one reviewer says it is rather heavy. Bought ours in March and in April it went with a "Bang"! Now exchanging it for a new one. It does what it it supposed to do but rather expensive.

Looks great and pours very well but when filling it is awkward to see the maximum level.
Also it is very very difficult to ascertain how much water is in the kettle as the viewer is not illuminated.
Apart from that great kettle .........wish I had waited until after Christmas though as it was £ 20 cheaper then !!

a lot of money, but......
I needed a new kettle to replace my almost 13 year old one that gave up boiling water for me with a BANG.
I didn't have a specific amount in mind to spend, though as far as I was concerned, the less spent, the better. Then I saw this beauty!
A big fan of anything that's Panasonic because I believe they make things that are built to last. I'm hoping this kettle doesn't disappoint. It looks and feels very well made using what I hope are quality materials which I hope are going to serve me as well as my previous kettle did. I just question that with the price and then the boast from Panasonic of the durability, why does it only come with a 1 year guarantee?
The kettle is easy to fill. You press the lid button and up it pops. There are two water level guides, one on the outside and then etched into the the inner stainless steel lining. I've had no problem at all judging the filling by using both of these.
The speed of which it boils, I guess depends on the temperature of the water you put in it. I would say the speed is average for a 3000W kettle.
Pouring, it seems slow but I think this is all part of the safety so when you pour there's a good but steady flow of water, not a huge gush but then nor is it too slow that it just trickles.
What I am very impressed with is that the walls of this kettle don't seem to get any hotter than warm. I don't think anyone is going to get a burn from touching the walls of this kettle! The pop-up lid does get slightly hotter but not to the extent of kettles I've used in the past.
Anyone who has a problem with lifting weights need to be aware that this kettle, although no where near heavy (for me), it weighs a lot more than your standard plastic jug kettle.
Yes it is a lot of money to spend on a kettle but for its design (makes a big design statement, even in my kitchen), build quality, and hopefully durability, I think it's worth every penny.
Ordered from John Lewis online and delivered as promised to my local Waitrose.
