Rated 1 out of 5 by frank7 not what i expected
First impression was good, lighter and easier to handle than old panasonic.Pick up with beater switched on also good.
The problems come when you empty the dust from the machine which is very unpleasant as i suffer from dust allergies,it needs to be done every other time it is used.the filter also needs washing every 4 uses otherwise suction is none existant, nothing like i was shown on the panasonic web video before i purchased. And now the motor has gone with a load bang and flash followed by strong burning smell.my next machine will definatley have disposable bags.

Panasonic vacuum cleaner MC-UL712 Bagless
Not as light as claimed, manoeuvrability OK, suction almost non existent, difficult to empty, not very stable, poor cable storage, In short one of the most useless vacuum cleaners that I have ever owned.
My 79 year old husband, a Parkinson's sufferer, regularly has to fine tooth comb the carpets on his hands and knees after I have finished hoovering.
A huge let down from Panasonic

Had this cleaner for 20 months and within that time the beater bar broke and finally the motor has burnt out. The cost of repair is more than the price of another make of cleaner hence I shall be buying another make.

I have had this Panasonic 2 years and it is only used every other weekend on the top floor only of a small cottage. It started off OK though emptying is very fiddly, but it has gradually become useless, as the hose picks up nothing and it needs emptying after using for 3 tiny rooms. We took the hose off and ran water through it. Some stuff came out but it still doesn't pick anything up. My old Panasonic (20 years old?) still picks up both with and without hose. This one is not fit for purpose and why is it £100 more than it was exactly 2 years ago?

One to avoid - expensive, ineffective and a pain to empty. Bought on the basis of a persuasive salesman in the Reading store with an eye to the Ghostbuster nozzle appeal for our sons (a moment of parental weakness), it has gone from annoyingly poor performance to being utterly useless in the space of a year. Hoping for some retribution on this as a result of the long warranty (its one redeeming feature).

I have persevered with this machine but in my opinion it is not very good and I agree with other negative reviewers. The hand tool does not pick up unless the cylinder is virtually empty and it falls over very easily. The cylinder is very small and in a flat of 70sqm has to be emptied twice if the whole flat is vacuumed. Its very messy to empty indoors. The filter needs washing after every couple of uses to prevent it clogging and causing the machine to overheat and cut out. I bought this cleaner about 20 months ago and at that time it only had a 1 year guarantee and after discussions with JL they supplied a second filter so it can be changed as soon as suction is lost to prevent the overheating which I thought would solve the problems. However it still cuts out sometimes and needs about 20 minutes to restart after cooling off. I bought this as I needed a light weight cleaner and replaced a very good but heavy Miele which I couldn't pull around easily. The light weight does not compensate for the nuisance of using this machine. I am writing this after another frustrating time where the motor has cut out in spite of having a clean filter and not being full. Although my one year guarantee has expired, I would expect any electrical product to be better than this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bangle The worst vacuum cleaner I have ever used
Bought this yesterday (in Waitrose) in a hurry because mine was emitting clouds of smoke and visitors due. It barely works on anything and certainly not on rugs or mats with any kind of fluff or leaves blown in from outside. Not surprising when you look at the tiny nozzle and feel the poor suction. No instructions and I still haven't worked out how to empty it. Not all that light either, compared with the 15 year old De Longhi I'd been using. Complete waste of money. Would be zero stars if that were possible.

Agree with other reviews on ease of use and filter clogging and machine falling over when using tool attachments. If you buy this machine you do need a spare filter, as the filter does take a little time to dry out after washing. I would not recommend this machine for a large property as it has a very small dust container.
While it did come with a 6 year guarantee, the motor burnt out and the machine had to be replaced after 18 months.
I am not sure I would purchase another
