Panasonic NN-CF778SBPQ Combination Microwave, Stainless Steel
Looks great from the front but left hand side very ugly
My other half is the chef and he chose this microwave on the basis of what it could do and the quality of product. It certainly ticked all the boxes in that respect, and I have just heard him say it it very simple to use but they are right, the outside really does get hot!
Having read all the reviews, I am amazed how few have commented on the astounding ugliness of the left hand side of the oven. You expect the back to look unsightly [although I am sure even that is not entirely necessary] but I would have thought as it is designed to be on the counter-top a little more aesthetic consideration might have been given. No doubt this is an issue of cost. Having looked at a number of picture of the machine, it is noticeable that the ugly side is not shown and I have only seen it fleetingly in a video and that I do find annoying!
In the right place this will not be a problem but we are very disappointed that we have not been able to put it in the place we wanted to. We have ended up having to make a compromise so the left hand side of the machine is not so prominent.

Efficient and easy
This microwave oven fulfills all it's promise. It is simple to use, flexible and efficient. Purchasing it from John Lewis with pick up from our local Waitrose was fast and easy.
I would thoroughly recommend both this oven and this way of purchase.

Unfortunately since I bought the product, the grill broke twice. The first time it was three months since I bought it and the grill was replaced without any costs. Then it broke again, this time one month after the one year warranty expired. This should not be happening if the appliance is used in accordance with the guidelines.

Almost as good as it can be
Bought this to replace my old Panasonic Combination microwave which had finally died after about 24 years use, so this has a lot to live up to.
I like the simpler controls, which mean effectively you can have almost any combination of cooking methods at any level.
I also like the lack of turntable so you don't get that awful scrunched up dirt under the little wheels, though I'm not sure it microwaves quite so evenly. I notice that porridge cooks more in some areas than others, so you have to move it about and stir it plenty. This is not noticeable with other things like veg. Still that is only a minor niggle.
I love the self cleaning back and easy-clean sides and bottom which have meant that I'm so far being successful in keeping it clean. Unfortunately the bars on the grill above still attract dirt which doesn't easily come off, but I suppose that is only a small part of the whole.
It is much more powerful than old one, and I am particularly impressed with the improved flavour of things, presumably because of the shorter cooking time. I especially like to combine turbo bake with microwave, for example roast spuds. I haven't tried the chaos defrost yet but the ordinary defrost seems to work fine. To be fair I don't often defrost solid things like meat.
I don't know why more people don't have one of these, rather than a traditional cooker. This is my main cooker though I do have a hob as well. You can move it around the kitchen (if you fancy a change of layout) or build it in though you do need an extra bit of kit for that. Mine just sits on the worktop.
If it lasts half as long as the old one I shall be pleased...

This machine is easy to use, it also produces great results. One must practice and respond to the on screen display as it does keep you on track. The oven heats up fast so a saving on power useage. To be able to use a combination of micro, grill, & oven together is a very good system to have at ones diposal. The oven does produce wondeful baked cakes etc:.Being a complex product the learning curve may be long if one is new to this way of cooking, but worth the effort. Once purchased the enjoyment starts. I will reccomend it to friends as i had this product reccomnded to myself.

This is my third Panasonic combination oven and microwave and as expected this oven is definitely a perfect addition to my main fan oven.
It is much more versatile having no turntable and being able to use square and round cooking trays etc. The pull down door is also much better and makes it easier to lift out hot dishes.
The settings and controls are also very easy to use, overall this microwave oven is a definite asset in my kitchen.

Another Panasonic marvel
This being my third Panasonic Combination Microwave in 30 years and yet again I am very pleased with the product. The best thing about this one is the flat bed design making it so easy to use. My kitchen is not big so this appliance is the perfect multi function addition. I am using it all the time from heating to cooking to roasting and so on......
