Panasonic NN-CF873S Combination Microwave, Stainless Steel

Special offer

Product information

Panasonic's premium stainless steel combination model NN-CF873S has a 32 litre cavity and is designed to enable you to cook delicious and nutritious meals your family will love. Packed with innovative features as well as being easy to both use and clean, the microwave also features a modern but timeless design, making it the ideal addition to any contemporary kitchen.

Panasonic’s NN-CF873S microwave features a flatbed, rather than a turntable. The flatbed not only creates a larger cooking area, it also means you can place dishes of all shapes inside the oven. Unlike a turntable, which needs to be removed, the flatbed design is much easier to clean.

Thanks to the 2-level convection cooking you can cook two levels simultaneously, to make even large families happier at mealtimes. A fan circulates the heat evenly throughout the oven so it reaches the food uniformly and efficiently, ideal for roasting and baking. Panasonic’s microwave also features an intelligent Sensor Cooking option that makes preparing perfectly cooked food easier than ever before.

The advanced new electrostatic touch panel with blue LED allows smart, easy setting operation with Swipe & Touch.

Please note: For proper operation, the oven must have sufficient air flow i.e. 5cm at one side, the other being open; 15cm clear over the top; 10cm at the rear.

Q & As

Panasonic NN-CF873S Combination Microwave, Stainless Steel 4.8 5 12 12
Excellent product Really great - just keep the instruction booklet to hand. Can use it easily as either oven, steamer or microwave but great for automatic programmes too. Cooked really nice jacket potatoes in half an hour using automatic programme. 18 October 2014

Easy to use, very good quality Best microwave ive had its got everything i need plus it looks great 05 August 2014
Meets Expectations The oven looks good and has, so far, worked well. Omitting the turntable gives much more usable space and the pull down door instead of a side hinged door makes for easier use. The information panel needs brighter illumination as it is dificult to see in a bright kitchen. Wotrh buying. 02 June 2014
Best Microwave Oven This oven solves many problems.. In microwave mode , it does not rotate as the microwave source rotates instead giving perfect results. A conventional non microwave mode is also available and this functions perfectly giving superb results 21 May 2014
This is a seriously good microwave Bought this after our previous microwave combination oven decided it had had enough. Not quite an impulse purchase, but it stood out from the crowd in an evenings Googling. Our criteria were pretty simple; we wanted a combination oven (we probably use the oven more than the microwave) and it needed to be big enough for an ample family meal. What we love: - Size. Not having a turntable means the inside can be oblong not square, so suits most roasting pans better. - Timer features. I love the fact that you can progamme in the wait time in the middle of microwaving frozen meals - Combination cooking. Take time to read the manual and work out how to use some of the more advanced features. The assistant in John Lewis gave us great advice: try some of the recipes that come with the oven to get to understand the features, then adapt for your own use. - The controls and 'slider'. I was a bit concerned about the slider from reading another review on this site, but for us it's really intuitive and simple. Generally the controls are clear and logical. What we're not so keen on: - The interior light is pitiful (but not sure that matters too much) - After cooking (particularly using the fan oven), the fan seems to run for ages. I've not timed it, but it could easily be 10-15 minutes. Oh, by the way, it actually cooks stuff really well too! 25 April 2014
Almost perfect This microwave was smaller than I was expecting, much smaller than the one it replaced, but the lack of a turntable means it's almost as capacious. Two microwave meals (you don't expect me to COOK, do you! ?) just fit in side by side. I assume that I could do two level microwave cooking if I use the glass shelf, but that isn't made clear in the manual, which is a bit useless to be honest. I haven't used it for anything adventurous (see note above re cooking) but it makes excellent jacket potatoes on sensor cook, heats the milk for my coffee, and zaps those microwave meals just fine. On the downside, it is pitch black in there! The two LED lights are useless, and you can't see anything that's happening in the oven. Not much use when you're watching to make sure your milk doesn't boil over. Another minus point is setting the cooking time. My previous oven would give a minute on high power when you pressed the start button. Very useful. It had 10 minute, 1 minute and 10 second buttons. Also very useful. The sliding time setting doodad is very sexy looking, but not actually that easy to use. I'm used to a couple of button presses to get my milk cooked for two minutes on high, now it's a case of press for power setting, slide up and down 5 times as you keep missing the 2 minute mark, and then press the start button. Another thing I've noticed is that the numbers on the display aren't visible if you stand to the right side of the oven. If you're standing on the left (which for me involves climbing into the fridge) they show up fine, as they do when you're directly in front of it. But if you glance at the oven to check the time, you better hadn't be standing on the right. The manual could be better. It's not easy to find what you're looking for. All in all its it's an excellent machine, with loads of features I shall probably never use. But it's worth the outlay just for the jacket potatoes. 27 February 2014
Excellent Oven Purchased this as our last Panasonic Microwave died although it was old. Saw this and although it is a considered purchase it has more than lived up to expectations. For instance the oven has a 40 degree setting which is great for proving bread. The pre set programmes are also great. It is so much more than a microwave and it looks good too. 07 February 2014
