not the best for baking I have used other microwave combination ovens for successfully baking bread and cakes etc. After a couple of days baking I found that cakes and bread were burned on top. The heating element at the top of the oven glows like a grill maybe this is the problem.I write this review not to complain but to praise to the heavens John Lewis response. Just wonderful the product is to be exchanged for a different model. No fuss no drama, just very helpful and kind . 28 March 2013
excellent product I bought the Panasonic microwave which most resembles the last one.I find I can eat well using this cooker only. 28 January 2013
Great replacement microwave very easy to use, does everything it says well !! recommended by Which. 14 January 2013
Excellent machine We've got a bigger Panasonic combi-oven so we knew roughly what to expect. This one though has a Jacket Potato button which produces good results - better than using just microwaves though it does take longer. The top convection temperature is 220C which I thought would be a bit low for cooking roasties but it coped very well and the results were fine - the potatoes were well-browned. It doesn't "peep" at you to remind you that the cycle has finished which I had got used to with the previous combi but I can cope with that! 26 December 2012
A bad experience I needed a combination oven for Christmas, my previous one having died. I therefore ordered one for next day delivery. Having waited all the next day, it arrived at 20.45. I removed all the cardboard packing in the machine, including one piece of silvered card 8 by 12.5cm which was on the inside right of the oven. This exposed a cavity in the machine, which didn't look right, so I emailed Panasonic, to be told that the oven would not work safely without it. I had to pay an unspecified amount for a new one. In my opinion it would have been helpful to mention that this piece of cardboard was not meant to be packing. I am also surprised that a piece of cardboard is used inside an oven at all. Needless to say, we had Christmas without our oven, and are still waiting for the part. 26 December 2012
Couldn't wait to get started This large shiny microwave was eagerly waited for. It arrived less than 24 hours after ordering it. Unpacked and on the kitchen work top in no time. It is fantastic. It does everything but fry chips (but I haven't tried). It makes the most wonderful baked jacket potatoes, with a crispy skin, in no time at all. My last microwave was OK but this one is fantastic. I don't know what I would do without it. I can highly recommend this one. 04 December 2012
No good for baking I am extremely dissappointed in the convection programme on this product. During cooking the radiation panel at the rear of the oven is continually switching on and off and consequently burns everything on the top. I consulted the panasonic web site for advice, and the answer was to cover everything with foil. Not practical when baking cakes which usually rise above the top of the tins! If you intend to use this product for baking - don't buy it! I have previously owned two other combination microwave ovens and have never had this problem before. 12 November 2012
