Neat Small Microwave This is the second Panasonic NN-E271W Microwave I have had and while very happy with the first, the inside casing cracked and peeled after just over a year. As it was out of the guarantee period, John Lewis would not exchange it. However after calling Panasonic directly and explaining the situation, without hesitation they agreed to exchange it free of charge via John Lewis. Overall the microwave does what I wanted it to i.e. warm and defrost food and make jacket potatoes although it does not have a crisp skin like the oven and grill Panasonic Microwave I had many years ago. Only reason I chose the smaller model was due to lack of space in my present house. 13 January 2013

Neat little microwave. Now I've got the hang of the slightly bewildering control panel/ function pads ( I've thoroughly read the manual and still keep it to hand ) I'm satisfied with my microwave. The oven's interior light comes on as the door's opened - not just during operation - rather helpful! Admittedly, I do have a gentle touch, but the microwave stays-put as I close the door - unlike my former microwave which was actually bigger! The range of functions is quite good - basic, but all I'll ever need, and most will come in handy on occasions. The oven interior is compact and a dinner plate with a microwavable cover all but fills it (could be fiddly for someone with limited hand dexterity) but it's perfectly sized for my needs as I use my conventional cooker for cooking. 12 January 2013

Excellent service and product I bought two microwaves and being Panasonic fans (the last one lasted a long time!!) one was a replacement and the other my son and partner, setting up home. Everything came as planned and click and collect from our local store made sure we had them quickly. 31 December 2012

Basic Obviously this is a very basic, small capacity, cheap-as-chips microwave and, consequently, I would certainly not describe this microwave as a 'first class product'. However, it adequately suits our needs in that we use a microwave very rarely. Unfortunately, after a few months our NN-E271W started sparking and so we had to take it to a repair agent to have the magnetron replaced; hence down from 3 stars to 2 for the inconvenience. 18 December 2012
