Product information

Wake up in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread, with the Panasonic SD-ZB2502BXC bread maker.

Finished in an appealing stainless steel and with cool-touch housing, this new Panasonic model features a useful 13 hour time delay, so you can set it to bake overnight in time for your toast the next morning!

Unique to Panasonic, a yeast dispenser has been incorporated into the SD-ZB2502BXC: this useful addition drops the yeast at the optimal moment, for perfect bread every time. There is also a raisin and nut dispenser that automatically adds additional ingredients, meaning you can leave this machine to bake without having to think about returning to add ingredients.

The angled control panel is easy to use, and this appliance easily caters for particular dietary requirements, including gluten free, low salt and high fibre. Dedicated regular and rye paddles ensure that every type of loaf is kneaded to perfection, while a rapid bake option produces a basic loaf in just two hours.

As well as offering 3 sizes (medium, large and extra large) this Panasonic appliance has 9 versatile modes, including:

  • gluten free
  • whole wheat
  • rye
  • French and Italian breads
  • sandwich bread
  • pizza dough
  • and a speciality mode for various grain and flour types such as spelt flour.

The SD-ZB2502BXC bread maker’s unique non-stick bread pan and kneading blade are coated with diamond particles, to ensure you will be able to easily remove bread from this unit once cooked. This coat is also twice as tough and scratchproof as conventional coats.

This bread maker has talents beyond bread, too! A jam and compote mode makes for quick and easy preparation of spreads.

Q & As

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 184 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Breadmaker available We no longer buy bread now. 3 to 4 times a week we bake a loaf overnight and wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread in the morning. The bread produced is exceptional and much preferable to a supermarket loaf. whether it be wholemeal, white, or malted, the bread is light, well baked and tastes absolutely delicious. What is not to like? The added bonus is that costs less than half the price to make than paying over the counter in a supermarket or baker if you get the flour etc at a discount supermarket. John Lewis ordering and delivery was easy and painless. The two year warranty is certainly recommended, particularly if you consider the amount of use this breadmaker will get! 17 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by fantastic product I am delighted with this product. Was concerned about the price as it is an expensive item to buy, and was worried that I would not use it enough. I have used it at least twice a week since buying it a month ago. We have made white and brown bread which is lovely and soft and my son loves it plus pizza dough. Fruit tea loaf which I have taken to work, and it is beautiful toasted. Machine is very easy to use, and recipes book/instruction book easy to follow. I wish I had brought this machine a long time ago as home made bread is the best. My friend has the other version but wishes she spent that little extra and had the auto fruit dispenser version. Great addition to the kitchen. 10 February 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent machine I wish I'd known a long time ago how easy it is to make bread at home using a bread machine. The bread it makes is better and cheaper than anything you can buy in a shop and it takes less than 5 minutes to set up & press 'Start'! Most recipes can be set using the time delay so you can wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread. Fantastic! The machine also looks very handsome sitting on my kitchen worktop and is very easy to clean. 04 February 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 Before you replace your old bread maker read on... I recently replaced my old Panasonic bread maker because I thought it was faulty: quite suddenly it started producing heavy, dense and generally unsatisfactory bread. To my dismay my replacement Panasonic machine produced equally poor bread. This led me to do some online investigating: I found a number of contributors had suffered similarly and several, like me, had replaced their machines. I'd always used Allinson's strong bread flour because it is the brand stocked in my local supermarket - it used to produce a good loaf. I read that other people had similar problems, not only with Allinsons but with other readily available flour brands too. I read online that people had corrected the problem by changing to Canadian Strong flour and so I bought some from Waitrose. The difference is that It has a high gluten content. Once I changed flours, I immediately produced a perfect loaf again -and I had not needed to buy a new machine. My reason for posting here is to say if you are getting poor results and are considering buying a new machine because of it, first try using Strong Canadian Flour. The gluten content of flour varies from season to season and it makes a huge difference but no one tells the consumer just how drastic the difference is. If it has been a poor harvest and the gluten content of the wheat is low, you're not going to make good bread - so if you have a problem, try Canadian Flour before buying a new machine. 03 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Breadmaking made easy Brilliant machine which we cannot fault. Makes lovely bread - mostly wholemeal with extra nuts and seeds so far but we are keen to experiment more. Baked a white loaf last week which makes excellent toast. We bought an electric slicer (which is well worth while) then interleave and freeze excess slices. 03 February 2015
