Philips Halogen 42W ES Classic Bulb, Clear 4 5 10 10

Not robust These make good replacements for the old clear 60w tungsten filament bulbs but they are very prone to fail if knocked really quite gently. Treat with kid gloves (metaphorically). The 2000 hour life seems very optimistic too. Given their cost, I am not that impressed. 23 April 2013

Great bulb - but lasted only 3 months! This bulb came with the superb Warwick lantern and proved a good choice, except that after three months usage the bulb ceased to work. A broken filament detected. Bearing in mind a) the high cost and b) a supposed energy saving product this simply isn't good enough. I hope to obtain a replacement gratis 02 April 2012

Ideal size for the location being used. I found the size of this bulb ideal for the lamp that it is being used in. The brightness is sufficient for the lamp and the glass shade does not get too warm. 18 December 2011
