Product information

The Philips S9041/12 shaver 9000 is a truly advanced shaver. Unique contour detect technology offers exceptional coverage over every contour of your face. The V-Track system guides hairs into the best cutting position for the closest result.

The AquaTec wet and dry seal of this shaver lets you choose the way in which you shave. You can get a comfortable dry shave or a refreshing wet shave, using a shaving gel or foam for extra skin comfort.

The advanced charging system gives you two convenient options: 50 minutes of running time after a single one hour charge, or a 3 minute quick charge for one full shave. All shaver 9000 models are designed to operate only in cordless mode to ensure safety in wet environments.

The fully flexible 8x directional heads catch more hairs for a clean shave in fewer strokes. The dual blade system lifts hairs to cut comfortably below skin level for a closer shave. A precision trimmer is also on hand for perfect moustache and sideburn trimming.

The intuitive display keeps you updated at all times enabling you to get the best performance out of your shaver. A 2-year guarantee provides peace of mind.

Q & As

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Does what it says on the package Difficult to follow the instructions without a narrative. 04 August 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very good product I have previously owned and used 2 Philips fixed head electric shavers which have been good. However, this is the first 9000 series floating head shaver I have purchased and I am really impressed with it. The floating heads system gives a really close shave, much closer than the fixed head models. It's also very easy to clean. 28 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Philips Shaver ever I have used Philips shavers for 50 years and without a doubt this shaver gives me the closest shave ever. Yes the head might be a bit fiddly to start with but easy to clean when you get used to it, which I did after a couple of weeks. Highly recommend! 13 July 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by A Disappointment Sadly, I have to agree with Colin2, above. Having only took delivery of my S9041/12 on the 27 June 2015, I realise that I have made a big mistake with this purchase! I bought this model as a direct replacement for my 3 year old SensoTouch RQ1250, which has passed its best by sell date! Yes, the S9041/12 does give a much better shave, than the RQ1250, but Philips have made several steps backward, on design; specifically, concerning maintenance and use of the shaving head. Anyone with poor dexterity, with their, hands, like me, with severe arthritis, will find it near impossible to carry out the head cleaning process, as recommended by Philips. Like Colin2 said, you have to pull the flimsy top of the shaving head, almost certainly breaking your nails, in the process! The pressure required to remove the shaver top, from the shaver body invariably, results in the shaver head, becoming detached from the shaver body. This unnecessary detachment, is likely, as Colin2 has already mentioned , to result in early failure of the flimsy locating spigot! It appears to me, that Philips have undertaken a cost cutting exercise! No stand is provided, for holding your shaver, when not in use, and this variant doesn't even include a protective cap, for the very flimsy shaving head. 29 June 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Really Disappointing!! I hoped this shaver would be an improvement on my 8 year old Aquatouch and save precious minutes in the morning. Not a bit of it, the head is too large and difficult to manoeuvre although it does give a close shave, if you have enough patience. Worse still, instead of being able to clean the shaver by flipping the top and giving it a quick tap on the sink or wash under the tap, you have to pull the top of the shaver off before washing under the tap. I doubt whether the flimsy spigot on the shaving head will last much longer than the guarantee period. Also the shaving head traps water and this trickles down your chin the next day or onto your luggage if you are travelling. In short, its a hopeless design - I now wish that I had just bought a replacement for my old aquatouch. 18 February 2015
