Polti Pocket Steam Cleaner
Compact & good-looking product
Disappointred in the amount of steam produced. It did not remove nicotine stains from door. This may be my fault for starting too soon. I had no problem with the spurt of steam when starting. However, I am going to persevere in the hope that another read of the instructions will solve the problem. There are plenty of add-ons which should make this product a real winner. Older people may find the weight of the water a bit tiresome to carry on the shoulder.

The nice man in John Lewis persuaded me to get this after my previous steam cleaner broke. I liked the reviews and had visions of gleaming steam cleaned shower enclosures and windows. Disappointed from day 1. The window attachment would not work on curved shower enclosures. Windows were better but still a hassle. I soon returned to the micro cloth and water. I also found it too bulky to store indoors, even with a small number of attachments and I didn't want to go the garage to get it whenever I wanted to clean the floor. The final straw was when it started to flood the floors. It went back to be replaced by a Vax upright streamer

not fit for purpose
I am a huge fan of Polti Steam Cleaners & thought this would be a handy alternative to "firing up" the large Vaporetto i have; it spluttered out hot water rather than steam & my kitchen floor was still wet almost an hour later (rather than being almost instantly dry with the Vaporetto) ~ weak and ineffective on other surfaces too. I returned it to JL for a full refund.

Didn't like this steam cleaner it took too long to heat up and flooded my floor twice. John Lewis were excellent and exchanged it for a different steam cleaner. Fantastic.

I had reservations having read some of the reviews. However, I'm really glad I bought this item. Used correctly it really is a time saving devise. I steamed my floors in less than half the previous time and drying time is cut considerable (at least ten times quicker). I've removed previously hard to reach dust from behind radiators, cleaned rugs and my stainless steel oven, fridge and bin. It's helped get stubborn marks off walls and skirting boards. It's left my granite work tops clean and streak free. Because you don't need a cleaning product there is no sticky/greasy reside and dust seems to settle less to the steamed surfaces. I can't rate it highly enough.

Great compact steam cleaner
I did ponder whether I was reading reviews on marmite so diverse were the scores but decided to go for it anyway as my wife was struggling with the house three kids, a dog and cat.
This steam cleaner makes light work of many difficult jobs around the home. It comes with a wide range of accessories and has a good water capacity giving approximately 30 minutes of cleaning time.
We have used it on ovens, windows, floors and walls and they always come up clean and looking new. Unlike chemicals, there is no residue left on the surface. If you are working on a cold surface such as tiles, the steam will condense so it just needs wiping with a cloth afterwards or alternatively you can use a short steam burst action.
It is worthwhile spending 5 minutes reading the instructions as it answers a number of issues highlighted by previous reviews.
The attachments are well designed and capable of the service required. It is important to remember to let the steam do the work, so if the brush is flexing then too much pressure is being applied.
I would recommend this product to anyone wishing to ease their cleaning burden.

Polti Steam cleaner
mainly purchased to clean windows and floors, to does a great job on both our only complaint is the window wiper blade is too stiff and leaves streaks on large windows the small steam gun does a great job of cleaning around difficult to reach crevices .
All in all it does what is says and does a good job well worth the money
